- DrScience: $NOK continues to track the upper Bollinger band. Now, above the most recent high from JUL.
- DrScience: $NOK Nokia closed on Friday at $6.01. I was exercised on the bulk of my #CoveredCall position. All day Friday, I had a roll offer in for .25, but nobody was willing to give me the 4.35% ROI I wanted to hold for another 5 weeks. I'm still holding a tr ...
- DrScience: $NOK three-day pullback to 8 EMA has @Aragorn's gambit looking for a flag breakout above recent high at $6.06. The WSB Mother-of-all Short Squeezes enthusiasm high from earlier this year @ 9.79 is a ways off, but the recent high @ $6.29 is within rea ...
- RoderickKnoll: $nok Climbing the upper BB.
- DrScience: $NOK is making a 2-day crossing of the Bollinger band complex. Otto added to our position yesterday morning, and I'm going to reward him with a little extra sumpin'-sumpin' in his stocking for Christmas. #5G Nokia and Ericcson ($ERIC) are two of the largest players in the telecom equation that determines the speed of your mobile experience. They're already working on #6G infrastructure standards and products, but don't expect an upgrade until the end of the decade. (Telcos still have to get the most from their 5G investments.)
- Aragorn: @DrScience $NOK Daily we broke inside day and down but now above the trigger 6.09 the 8ema daily needs to hold or just be very close ad see what happpens but next stop down is the 21ema but the short term charts look down but it is a very small range so looks can be deceiving on charts
- DrScience: $NOK a three-day pullback to the 8 EMA setting up an @Aragorn's Gambit for higher prices. Unfortunately, CMF has been showing outflows since mid-June, even as prices rise. It's a toss-up as to next direction as the 20 and 50 DMA's race to catch up to price.
- Aragorn: @DrScience $NOK Hi Doc - note PAR SAR has switched on a 30 from a short to a long and forming an inside day need the 8ema to hold and be used as a reference for a stop on any new position. GL
- DrScience: @Aragorn $NOK Thanks Jay! The WSB crowd has really messed with my mind on this one. I sold AUG 6 Calls to cover stock on earnings, but looking to add more for the possibility of $6.50 in SEP, Hope your day is going well.
- DrScience: $NOK #5G On the weekly chart, the stock has been walking the upper Bollinger band after the fallout from the MOASS (Mother-Of-All-Short-Squeezes) back in late JAN to early APR. Taking a SEP 7 Covered Call could be rather exciting, but, with the monthly chart showing that $6.50 could be next resistance, an NTM AUG 6.50 CC @ 6.13 could work to get involved. $NOK 20-Aug-21 6.50 Covered Call @ 6.13 with 17 DTE --- Cash Settled Account (IRA) ==================== Buy 100 Shares at $6.24: $624.00 Sell 1 20-Aug-2021 6.50 Strike Call at $0.115: ($11.50) Capital Required: $612.50 Cost Basis (Break Even): $6.13 Maximum Gain: $37.50 Return on Option (ROO): 1.88% Return on Investment (ROI), if exercised: 6.12% Annualized Return: 258.18% Margin Account ==================== Buy 100 Shares at $6.24: $312.00 Sell 1 $6.50 Strike Call at $0.12: ($11.50) Possible Cost of Broker Carry at 7.00%: $1.02 Capital Required: $301.52 Cost Basis (Break Even): $6.14 Maximum Gain: $36.48 Return on Option (ROO): 3.81% Return on Investment (ROI), if exercised: 12.10% Annualized Return: 1061.56% A Ron Popeil ITM SEP 6 Covered Call @ 5.80 might also work for those expecting a September swoon and pullback.
- JRoger: @DrScience $NOK #5G Do you typically hold until option expiration
- DrScience: @JRoger $NOK #5G Yes. Of course, it depends on what the stock does and my thesis for holding.
- DrScience: $NOK While you slept, Nokia reported Q2 earnings with the trifecta: earnings beat, revenue beat and raised guidance. I guess it doesn't hurt that the #WSB crowd thinks the -- now -- $6 stock will make a trip around the moon in the near future, as well. #5G

- DavidM: @scottrades There were 2 others that had huge spikes around 1/26/27, $NOK and $BB. Today $NOK was up 5% on 3 times average volume, $BB up 31% on huge volume. Notably, options volume was also huge for both $BB and $NOK, not so much for $IRBT. As marketmakers have to offset call risk with stock purchases options volume is significant. I wonder whether the Reddittors can really pull off what they are doing with a $100 + stock such as $IRBT. That said, I'll try to be watching all 3 in the morning. I held a small $BB position overnight and have owned a starter in $NOK for a while now, added a few calls last week.
- scottrades: @DavidM $NOK $BB $IRBT I mean, they did it with GME! Haha! Thanks, I think someone mentioned BB to me but I didn't include it. What a time to be alive. Hope you're trading well. ✌️
- DavidM: @scottrades $NOK $BB $IRBT I guess I was not paying attention to where $GME started. Actually, I was not paying attention to GME at all. I picked up the game on $AMC. AMC's option volume is nothing compared to the others although I have not done the math to see what the dollar value looks like. I do wish they would do this stuff on Friday when I don't have to deal with the day job.

- RoderickKnoll: @scottrades $WRK Hi Scott: I would be interested to know your thoughts about best practices in bailing out of a stock that has gone parabolic then slowed down. I sold to close this morning a call on $wrk for just shy of a double. Bought in late January. Parabolic moves concern me, having made recent round trips on $TLRY, $CGC and $NOK. Round trips are terrific in air travel, not so much for us traders! Thanks much.

- CraigReynolds: @DavidM $NOK I'm in heavy for me with stock. Was not aware of happening when started the position, mostly Cover Calls. If stock price finishes above $4.00 for Feb/Mar, this will be a major win. Just bought it for income play, CC because of a post from both Dan and DrScience. Made sense, then GME took over. Was aware of $NOK involvement in the mix. Nice, you did well. Have a blessed/great day.

- TeslaCoil: @DBones808 $NOK $AMC $GME I understand not allowing margin buying but if you restrict access to certain securities with your own money, that is BS. Laws should be put in place to prevent this.
- Wolf: @djgustoso $NOK $AMC $GME I had trouble getting fills yesterday on these volatile stocks. Fidelity told me that orders were backed up that much it took 10 minutes for a market order.
- tbsy: @DBones808 $NOK $AMC $GME I have not tried to trade any of these three since I heard it suggested that there was a coordinated attempt to manipulate the price. I have struggled with this as the temptation is certainly there, and I personally agree that it no worse than what the shorts were trying to do or the blatant torpedoing that certain stock “advisers” attempt. Instead of struggling with my conscience I would much rather just avoid it and concentrate on stocks not in controversy. However, I do agree with you closing off the market is an awful response!

- champ: @Kharrison67 $NOK ---- I have posted this way, more than a few times before, at 12:01 ET tomorrow, everyone buy 100 shares of $SDC...but I received a post right back and that person just didn't understand how they play that game,....however they were all just fun posts.
- Kharrison67: @champ $NOK $SDC those guys would have a hard time convincing me to hold if I got in early. Lol
- Henry: @Kharrison67 $NOK Reddit It is up and it reads to me like a radical 3rd political party whose politics are that they are owed wealth. I pledge allegiance to GME and AMC and the wealth for which it stands. "Don't sell on any pullbacks, don't believe CNBC; Brothers hold together" I tend to agree with the the Merry Men that the public short sellers are front running manipulators. I wouldn't mind if they all go bust....IF THAT WAS THE ONLY EFFECT. The ramifications go far beyond Citadel and Melvin as do the market effects. @Dan has come around to this may be a market top. Will it just be a 5 - 10% correction then business as usual? I have no idea but I am looking to raise more cash in my long term accounts. I am not a doom and gloomer, but I'm feeling 1987.
- GOOSE: A TRADE: $NOK STO 1/29/21 5.0 NTM CALLS @.33 in size, to make the trade worthwhile. This is an add to.
- DavidM: @DAN $GME $TSLA It is fun to watch but I have to wonder, how does it end? And now that "they" did it once "they" will do it again. I am concerned about what regulations will be imposed to "fix" this issue. Look at the volume and open interest in both $NOK and $AMC options. Wild guess, one of these just might be next.
- champ: @DavidM $GME $TSLA $NOK $AMC ---- The "fix" is, traders can play with their own $$$'s.. until they lose them and most companies can do the same but only after you sign on the dotted line. They already have regulations and laws in place. ~~~~ Read this very closely first, take your time, talk to your attorney and then sign right here,.... only then can I take your $$$'s and put them to work for you.
