- DrScience: $UAL is working on an Inside day after Friday's OPEX weakness, but the stock is still showing good signs of buying since the earnings report. I'm watching the daily 8 EMA to sell some put credit below the 21 EMA on any weakness as other airlines report this week. Airlines reporting this week are JetBlue ($JBLU) tomorrow BMO, Hawaiian ($HA) tomorrow AMC, and American Airlines ($AAL) on the 25th BMO.

$QQQ -- Breaking out per morning not ... - DrScience: $AAL It's getting close to Memorial Day, the official start of the travel season. That's when the driving/flying public, with money to burn, will be taking to the roads and skies above them. Looking at American Airlines chart, I see... 1) a three-day pullback to the 8 EMA (@Aragorn Gambit) on lower-than-average volume after breaking above the 50 DMA on higher-than-average volume. 2) CMF just today reaching its highest positive values in over a year. 3) Unusual option activity in the JUN 22 Calls 4) I think downward pressure of today's OPEX will be released next week for a move higher. All this has me wanting to scratch the itch to increase my position in JAN 25 LEAPs Calls @ 2.85, that should set up for being able to cover with JUN 28 Calls to reduce cost basis in the longer-term comeback of air travel into the Fall.
