- lostsheep: $LYB continues to find supporters. The div is a little smaller but still adds a kicker. Inflation doesn't exist although I see a lot of those cycle plays working.
- lostsheep: $LYB catches multiple upgrades with a price targets as high as 88 by $JPM. The recent range top of 70 and the 200 serving as support 80 should be a realistic short term target. Not overly sexy but a nearly 6% div kicker.

A fine managed company with all cylinders working. 2 year low, by chart action most would say not a good entry point. Zacks Rank has a 2 (Buy) rating. They know value and with a 5.8% divide, well about the money, it depends on the type of investor you are. Value looks good. My opinion and if your a spec trader for get rick quick, not sure.

- debeers: $LYB-So yesterday i recommended that, given the lousy divvies being paid elsewhere, and strictly as a value proposition, i said i established an initial position in $LYB. It closed at 72.60. Today, HSBC came out with their new price target on the stock of 125 up from 121. That's almost 42% from yesterday's close on a dirt cheap company with good management. I think the charties hated it. So be it. I'll try not to post too much today but, if you don't like my posts i won't be offended one bit if you filter me out. Divvie 5.83%

- Forexpro: Re: $LYB Hi, Friends, Down, then choppy and sideways, but edging higher, and closing in on what would amount to at least a modest breakout above the top of the recent range. I've set an alert for 90.35; I don't expect it to go into orbit (shorts are 2 percent of the float), but I am interested for a potential longer-term hold. Decent (4.49 percent at current prices) yield. This chemical company has strong financials; if the economy isn't, in fact, heading straight to Hades in the proverbial handbasket, the chart suggests that this may have some upside to go along with the reasonable income level. Not many mentions here; the last was from the apparently indefatigable bRobert back in Jun. Hope your day is going well; all the best!
- debeers: $LYB- merger clearances done: Chemicals giant, LyondellBasell Industries N.V. LYB has secured the antitrust approval from the European Commission for its proposed buyout of A. Schulman, Inc. SHLM in a deal worth $2.25 billion. The clearance satisfies one of the closing conditions to the transaction. The deal now remains subject to other customary closing conditions including other required regulatory approvals. A. Schulman’s shareholders voted in favor of the deal on Jun 14. The acquisition, which has also been cleared by antitrust regulators in the United States, Brazil, China, Serbia, Turkey and Mexico, is expected to consummate in the second half of the year. Short form (and because its Friday--SHoLM!!- I've been waiting for this one).You also have a cushion of a huge divvie of 3.65% and a p/e of under 11.

- Bridget: @seeds $LYB don't know much about the company, but I do see the break of the downtrend. I see it starting to form a new uptrend but looks like it is going to zig-zag. Therefore buy on the dips, near the 20dMA and sell some on the breakouts. I wouldn't look at this for a short term trade, but rather a longer term hold.

- DrScience: $LYB seeing a H&S pattern playing out on the weekly chart. Friday, the stock traded down to the 200 DMA upon earnings that beat nicely on Revenues, but missed on EPS. Monday, the stock fell below the 200 DMA, so any failure to regain the key average looks like a shorting opportunity down to test support at $70. ISM Manufacturing numbers provided little to bolster the stock or the sector, and ISM New Orders experienced a meaningful decline, even as management sees less maintenance downtime in the coming quarter as a positive.
