This move is aimed at reducing the company’s dependency on Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ:NVDA) and strengthening its supply chain. What Happened: OpenAI, co-founded and led by Sam Altman, is in talks with Broadcom and other semiconductor designers to enhance the supply of components and infrastructure required for running advanced AI models, reported the Financial Times on Thursday.

Also saw this news this morning. Broadcom continues to see its ownership grow It's perhaps no surprise that the most-owned semiconductor stock among active fund managers is Nvidia Corp. , according to data from BofA Equity Strategy. But the data also reveal some more interesting tidbits, including the rapid growth in ownership of Broadcom Inc. shares (AVGO). Broadcom's stock was owned by 45.8% of active fund managers in the month of June, up from 44.9% in May - and just 28.7% in June 2023 . In June of last year, there were six semiconductor names with higher ownership than Broadcom shares. Now, Broadcom ranks second, ahead of Applied Materials Inc. (AMAT) and Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) shares.

You might want to wait for an "up" day, where the stock is trading higher than the prior day. As I read the chart, I think that's gonna happen tomorrow). Adding $NVDA back to the ATI List: Basis: 125.87 Stop: 117.30 (This is a swing trade idea. That's why I have a relatively tight suggested stop. Longer term, this stock works. Make sure your trade is YOUR trade). Enthusiastic Nvidia bulls can consider $NVDL -- the 2x Long NVDA ETF. Basis: 72.35 Stop: 63.10 (This is a loose stop, which comports with a high volatility chart). - makebackthemill: $NVDA $AVGO I don't know what others are doing. Over the years I have held on either to early or too late. I have sold the last of my August calls on $NVDA today and Friday. I sold 10% of my $AVGO stock on Friday and another 10%.today. It's not like I had a lot of $AVGO, but when a stock is up something like 300 points in a few days I'd rather take some money and run. I've burned myself enough over the years and like the way my trading account and Roth account look at the moment. I'd like to keep it that way for a while. If I miss another 100 points on $AVGO tomorrow , well tough nuggies on me. I'll re-evaluate after the split. COMMENTS Welcome

We have never had a conversation about stocks before. I don't own the TSLA but I do the others and a couple more stocks that he also owns. My brother in law came to dinner last night and the first words out of his mouth were about $AAPL. It's good that people are doing well, but it makes me nervous like in 1999 when I walked into the doctors lounge and 3 docs each had a section of the WSJ and the 4th was on the computer looking at a chart of gold.
