- med.medicine: Team: One stock to consider is APWR (Wind energy play). They beat the estimate few days ago and now APWR is on a tear out of #squeeze! I sold $ASTI and got into APWR. I think this will go lot higher.
- riceroad: @rundatrack $BRCD - agree that I woul dwait for a better entry point $GLT - loks like it went thru 50dma and is attacking the 200dma...i don't know anything about this stock but it doesn't look like it pays much attntion to its moving averages...looks like it is trading in a range...look at it on a weekly chart $ASTI - Solars are all looking good at the moment...the stoch are oversold and crossing upward while the candlestick formation looks like a bullish engulfing with a confirmation today if it stays up...the only concern is how much the jump in oil is driving this and if oil down't hold up then what? I'mm looking at this one if it satys up into the close and putting my stop at the low of 2 days ago. My 2 cents...
- med.medicine: Keep a watch on APWR, $ASTI, SOLF! Edit: Forgot to mention my position. Got $ASTI at the open. Sold ICO, SQNM. Holding $AKS, MEE, NCOC, SDS! I will trim down all the stocks and add $SDS when market reverses from the resistance! $PDO looks good!
- riceroad: $ASTI - up in premarket...if it can close above $17 on some decent volume it sure looks like it is headed upward...IMHO. I own a a small starter position.
- SMR196312: Take a look at EMC. I like this chart. Volatility #squeeze along the 10 day moving average. The 20 trending up as well right behind it. Full disclosure, long. $ASTI, breaking to the upside out of #squeeze.
- mofaux: Team-- Another solar stock from @Dan's old list of April2. $CSUN looks to be a couple of days B/O of a tight #squeeze. Looks like it is a couple of days ahead of $ASTI but the charts are similar. Remember this one is also a pure speculation as it, like $ASTI, has no earnings. Long starter pos on $CSUN
- riceroad: $ASTI - Here is where I tend to limit my potential...if you had $ASTI long what would you do right now? I lean to closing the position for a profit but the other side of me says this is set up to run further...thoughts?

The stock shot up really fast and it looked like it might reverse, so I locked in gains. I bought Ascent Solar, ASTI. I'm not sure why this stock is moving right now, but it's breaking out on good volume. - HorseTrader: Guy $ASTI is the Stock of the Week of a blog host down "The Street" who plays in low float stocks so they'll pop on his recommendation. He then recommends people to take profits, so they generally pull back. If you play the game, it can be profitable. But, if you stick around too long, easy to get burned. I tracked many of them after the "week" and many collapsed big time. I loaded into $ASTI on Monday at $20, sold 1/2 on Tuesday at $23 and now have a stop on my other half at my original purchase point, below the 1st Standard Deviation.
- gbazanos: @Horsetrader, thanks for the info! I was locked out of this site this afternoon and I just got back in. I jumped into $ASTI early in the day before it tanked with the rest of the market. It's getting a lift after hours, I might light up on my shares if it rallies tomorrow morning. Guy
- drtony: after seeing so many things just churn for a while, it's nice to get some good breakouts today. i just hope the Fed doesn't give us a nasty surprise on wednesday and ruin the fun. $ASTI breaking out nicely today at over 8%. firm resistance isn't really until 20. bounced off the 50% Fibonacci retracement.
