  • debeers: $ITCI-My reluctance about biotech (unless Woody loves it) is always that i want to know
who is behind me and by that i mean what institutions have plunked their money down and
if they have do i have an opportunity to get in and make money.
    Voila' ...
  • debeers: $ITCI- Did i mention i am long? No? Well i am. As far as politics is concerned, i learned this from my Southern Mother In Law: It is futile to blame the president for anything-Bless His Heart!
  • Lou: @debeers $ITCI - nice find! My only reluctance to buy this is because, as I've learned from following @Woodman into several biotech positions, is that they have a long row to hoe before they are commercialized. If one has the inclination to watch the zig zags for an eventual payday down the road, they are decent investments. I, fortunately, took profits, some small and some quite large as I exited most of my positions in that space. I have also watched some outsized profitable positions turn to chump change.
  • debeers: Following are my longs with the reasons attached: $ANF a drop to 109 seems doable so i rebought $FANG- Would he dare refill the petroleum reserves with oil from Iran? $GM--Well Mary is geared for money not politics and, realizin g no one wanted the EV's unless one lived in New York or Cali, she said screw it. I am putting my energies toward ICE trucks and cars and maybe someday we'll acknowledge that, with China burning coal at a furious rate, we don't stand a chance against global warming anyway. $ITCI- if not this, pick another teeny weenie when Woody comes back $META- Zuck money goes to An imal Rescue so i hafta think he pulls this off. Maybe, just maybe the Congress bans Tik Tok becausedi8f you didn't alreadsy get it the Chinese use this as a vehicle for spying on you.
  • debeers: @Lou $ITCI - Tell me when you have ever seen a teenie weenie in biotech with this Percentage of Institutional support???? You can't!!
  • vitoB: @debeers $ANF $FANG $GM $ITCI $META ...at 108.80 im on the same side as you now, long
  • Lou: @debeers $ITCI - thanks for the reply. I don't doubt that it may be a big winner. But commercialization is preceded by lots of time-consuming steps while winding through tests and FDA processes. At my age, I don't buy green tomatoes for a reason.
  • debeers: $ITCI-@LOU IMO the reason the insti support is so extraordinary is the number of approvals for their stages is much much higher than normal.
  • Kaliper: @debeers $ITCI The only downside to this level of institutional support is where the next group to get in the boat comes from. And if the boat capsizes, all will drown! Not knocking the stock at all (I nibbled) but curious to hear your thoughts.
  • debeers: @vitoB $ANF $FANG $GM $ITCI $META -The wedding show as a winner winner chicken dinner and if anyone can record a profit on the high end its Fran.
  • Lou: @debeers $ITCI - just saw this posted on Fido's ATP from a questionable source, Benzinga: Intra-Cellular Therapies's (ITCI) short percent of float has risen 4.8% since its last report. The company recently reported that it has 3.47 million shares sold short, which is 4.15% of all regular shares that are available for trading. Based on its trading volume, it would take traders 5.55 days to cover their short positions on average.
  • Lou: @Kaliper $ITCI - I reluctantly agree with your question. Institutional ownership is great on the way up but beware on the way down. It has been compared to the visual of all the passengers seeking to escape a sinking ship through a single porthole.

  • 9SevenTeenInVest: $ITCI Looks like a breakout
  • VenkatS: I see the following stock up/down in premkt. $TIF, $LULU, $WORK, $VRM, $ITCI, $NNOX. Are these good candidates for 59Minute trade?
  • scottrades: @VenkatS $TIF $LULU $WORK $VRM $ITCI $NNOX Those could work. Do you have a strategy for trading gaps?
  • Hans_Schultz1: @VenkatS $TIF $LULU $WORK $VRM $ITCI $NNOX It looks like these are not working out today in my opinion. Just my limited experience, but I've had a lot better outcomes with 59 minute trades when the market is more orderly than it is right now.

  • Wolf: @Herb $ITCI Down 9% on secondary offering. Maybe a good add point?
  • Herb: $ITCI the 50% pullback of the recent huge move is around 28. No position.
  • Herb: @Wolf $ITCI Could be. I'm not in it, nor have I studied it much.
  • Herb: $ITCI did a little nibbling yesterday. Decided not to watch it today because they announced a 2ndary. Wrong!
  • Herb: $ITCI Nibbled a little at 33.68. Tight stop.
  • PhilHarmonic: @scottrades $OTIC Also $ITCI, a biotech stock, is interesting. It made a big move yesterday and is continuing the move premarket.
  • scottrades: @PhilHarmonic $ITCI I think ITCI is till worth watching!
  • efrain007: $ITCI bio gapping 100% one to watch for a trade. 20% short.
  • Herb: Intra-Cellular Therapies Inc. shares $ITCI, +110.77% soared 83% in premarket trade Monday, after the company said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved a treatment for schizophrenia in adults. The New York-based biotech said the approval of its caplyta drug comes after two trials that showed a statistically significant separation from placebo. The company is expecting to start sales of the drug late in the first quarter of 2020. Schizophrenia is a serious mental illness that affects about 2.4 million adults in the U.S. and can cause such symptoms as hallucinations, delusions and psychosis. Intra-Cellular Therapies shares have gained 9% in 2019 through Friday, while the S&P 500 SPX, 0.49% has gained 28.5%.
  • debeers: @Herb $ITCI -if you were a schizzo, you'd be beside yourself,Herb.
  • Herb: @debeers $ITCI Interesting that you mentioned that. A friend of a friend has had a humongous position in $AXSM from around 3 (no typo) and is still in it. This morning my friend emailed me that his friend had been trying to talk him (and himself) into buying $ITCI from 10, but neither bought it. So yes, I am feeling quite schizo at the moment (at least one of me is). . . . .
  • kcar21966: @Alexandra $ITCI Did you buy it?...bounced a bit this morning:)
  • tsogles: $ITCI Down 68% on failed drug trial.
  • gwenzee: $ITCI Another Bio just crashed. Down 68% AH on schizophrenia drug failure. As DeBeers just said, "I'd be beside myself."
  • Alexandra: @gwenzee $ITCI There's no cure for schizophrenia!? 😱
  • Alexandra: @woodman Are you buying $ITCI AH? It might rebound right ?
  • gwenzee: @Alexandra $ITCI What's a gal gonna do???
  • steve71: @Alexandra $ITCI I know you're teasing, but the reality is this. There's no cure for most things. Surgeons can cure things - eg. cataracts, appendicitis, broken bones. Psychiatrists never cure anything. Internists never cure anything, except for infections. Oncologists can cure the occasional childhood leukemia. So there are exceptions. And yes, I'm being glib. But the overwhelming majority of medical conditions are chronic. They can be treated, usually improved, but never cured.
