- champ: $DVN...HOD...N-gas continues to work, $BOIL is HOD....because they are saying that the #cold-snap is expecting to #freeze-gas-wells-and-pipes..... ...$GUSH is working also...but just about everything is working in the Energy sector, I'm going to swing this ETF and all of my other positions.

- champ: @bigbartabs $ERX $GUSH...Yes sir and they are both stacked on top of my positions, #Day-Trades, make a little everyday and that will help my YTD profits totals....Hit and Run to the Bank...Daily.........and that's because a new Energy #Sheriff is going to be Drilling and Fracking....and then #Exporting, to the EU countries. .......The Energy Boom, is going to be really #Booming soon and it officially starts on January 20th.....but we need to get our Positions early, why be late, don't be too late....because the Profit clock is ticking, 9-days going on 10.....don't let all the others, get all of the Profits....because for Now, the #easy $$$$ are lagging around everywhere I look. - bigbartabs: @djgustoso $MSTR $MSTX ... years ago I did a correlation check on many of the 1x and their 3x ETFs. Some correlated well between 1x to 3x... but the majority had pretty big gaps in correlation. I seem to recall that $SMH to $SOXL correlated best ... and the energy ETFs were the worst... $XLE to $ERX and $XOP to $GUSH.

I can't see a reason that oil will get cheaper until Israel / Iran and proxies stop the war. And that's probably not soon. Oil will likely be higher forever if Harris wins... but fall like a rock if Trump wins. So risk of a big move in oil up or down is at least a month away. FWIW
- champ: @bigbartabs $ERX $GUSH #Oil .....I agree, however a nice size move-up in Oil could happen at anytime, if Iseral hits Iran....and that will probably happen soon, before the elections. .....Anticipation of an Israel strike, is currently what is moving up the price of oil.
- phgruver: @champ $ERX $GUSH #Oil ...well, there's a little more to it than that. Oil (CL=F for WTI, BZ=F for Brent) has been sluggish for 2 years, and is trading near it's 2-year low. In general, it's due for a rally. The question is what the catalyst for such a rally will be. War in the middle east? Sure, why not. The US election? Maybe a factor.... I'm not betting on oil, because it's too heavily manipulated, but I do expect it to go up, from here, to maybe $80 or $85/bbl. If there's a real supply disruption, the $100/bbl is in play.
- champ: @phgruver $ERX $GUSH #Oil ....Not really, this has been a simple trade for me, so far, with my swing positions in this sector.....and I'm up nicely, Day 5-for me. ....This is a short-term swing trade, off of that Iran and Iseral News.......and I'm not even thinking about the Elections..Yet. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This has been a huge winner, a nice gift...and if things heat up, I will add...and if it turns, my Trailers will take profits....I keep everything simple.

The News-flow is, an attack by Iran is going to happen at anytime.....and if it happens over the weekend, these positions will have a nice/huge bounce.

I have simplified my trading by staying at a higher level... mainly the index derivatives (1x triggering the 3x ETFs), and then the major sectors (the same, 1x triggering the 3x ETFs). Sometimes I'll trade some individual tickers... but that's not where I buy and sell in size, like I do at the index and sector level trades. I have enough trouble staying on top of indexes and sectors, let alone hundreds of individual stocks. Of course everyone has their druthers... developed over decades of trading. FWIW... all the best buddy... sounds like you are doing just fine at this crazy "job" we all decided to bite off! ==:O

- bigbartabs: @Nepenthe $XOP $GUSH ... same here... sold it when $XOP dropped below the 8dema. Pretty tough sledding across the board, now that 2023 came to an end. I'm guessing that new year profit taking is still king... with 16.5 months of income tax delay.

No system is perfect... but I've found that finding a process that matches up with what the majority / herd of seasoned traders stay within, is what you can depend on most. Finding that process is the key. The sad part is that it usually takes a lifetime to figure that stuff out! I've been trading for around 20 years now... and still feel like an idiot at times. Of those pairs that I tend to track $UNG/$BOIL $XLV/$CURE, $ITA/$DFEN, $XLRE/$DRN, $XLI/$DUSL, $XLE/$ERX, $XLF/$FAS, $FNGS/$FNGU, $XOP/$GUSH, $XBI/$LABU, $ITB/$NAIL, $GDX/$NUGT, $XRT/$RETL, $SMH/$SOXL, $XLK/$TECL, $XLY/$WANT ... only $XLE $XOP are close to being above the 8dema. Also, $UNG is tough, since it doesn't correlate well with 3x $BOIL I always track the 4 index pairs... $DJI/$UDOW, $SPX/$SPXL, $NDX/$TQQQ, $RUT/$TNA... of which none are even close to the 8dema. The only one that could be worth starting a position is $DJI, that bounced off of the 200dma. All the best...
- ray: $GUSH Just opened a small 'starter' position in $GUSH. Crude Oil Futures (CL Oct23) are at 88.53. New high since last Nov 2022. After gains for 9 straight days beginning Aug 24th, the price consolidated 4 days, and looks to be continuing the rise.
- champ: $USO...HOD...at $75...the price of WTI-Oil jump up today to $83.43, as of RHRN. ....and $GUSH is Flat....and Energy stocks also Flat, thats kind of unusual....$CVX and others.
- debeers: $NRGU- almost twice as good as the lazyasses who buy $GUSH. If you are buying the long term $MTDR in the energy sector you can day trade $NRGU. Just a thought.
