- AndStars: #VWAP #TOS $SCHW During the webinar by @DAN today, someone asked about adding VWAP to thinkorswim. You add VWAP to your charts via a TOS "Study." From the Schwab ($SCHW) website: A trader can plot VWAP on thinkorswim® charts without using the formula. From the Charts tab, add a symbol, and bring up an intraday chart. - champ: $SCHW......#Schwab was upgraded to overweight, with a price-Target at $102, by $C this morning and Wolfe Research also raised to $97........ ....because they make huge $$$ off of Volatility. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Henry: $SCHW DB upped their target to $108. Schwab put in a BIG monthly hammer, but it's been a tough long term hold.

- joelsg1: $SCHW Had a long conversation yesterday with my rep. there about my least fave topic ThinkorSwim, they still intend to end Edge in favor of ToS after 4/15, I told them I'd consider moving if they did, if I have to learn 'new' platform might as well go somewhere else and get incentives to do so. Plus, I think they know AI is coming and will replace these platforms with perhaps voice commands sooner than most think. Last Fall I raised this and they gave me cash incentive to stay and delayed Edge death, so if you're with Schwab and agree, please make some noise, they may respond favorable as AUM means everything to them. Stay tuned.

- joelsg1: @Samara $SCHW StreetSmartEdge, their platfrom many used before they acquired TD Ameritrade with ToS. I prefer Edge because I'm used to it and don't need all the ToS bells and analysis whistles as I subscribe to and use StockCharts for that analysis, scans, etc.

- joelsg1: @woodman One of the best reasons to stay with $SCHW is their deal with Rocket to shave up to .75% off mortgage rates, which I think they still honor for large accounts. Took advantage of that in 2021 to refi everything and the kids too, took adjustables around 1.5% which rollover in a few more years. Probably should have done the fixed but didn't, thinking we'd all have sold or perhaps paid off before then. Of course with today's rates hard to move on.

- StockMarketMentor: Keep an eye on Charles Schwab ($SCHW). It has been squeezing just below the 50-day moving average on relatively low volume. The highest volume days have been positive closes...yet the stock is still trapped by the 50-day moving average. A high probability technical buy area would be at $75.01 -- just a bit above today's intraday high. You might want to set an alert at that level so you'll be notified if/when the stock breaks out above that level. If triggered, you should consider a stop just below today's intraday low of $289. The only way your stop would get hit is if today's bullish engulfing pattern is completely trumped by a reversal. (Sorry if I triggered anyone with my word choice in the previous sentence). --Dan

I use the Active Trader Pro platform for trading and have frequent occasions to pull up the standard Fidelity trading program for deeper research and buying bonds. Love the service. - AndStars: @Henry $SCHW #Proxy For quite some time I’ve been down voting anything (anyone) with even a whiff of DEI (DIE) or ESG. If there’s too much of that nonsense I consider taking my $ elsewhere. It’s been clearly shown that companies which veer from their core meaning for existence lag behind those whose aim is to be profitable and to maintain shareholder value. DEI and ESG , like communism and socialism are not sustainable.
- Henry: #Proxy season. I used to read all the crap they sent, look at each director's credentials. I don't have time for that anymore. Shareholder proposals for all aspects of DEI and Climate change, but Schwab had one I hadn't seen before. CEO pay I am concerned about the outrageous CEO salaries and I learned that from 2020 to 2023 the salary for the $SCHW CEO increased from 15.9 mil to $24.4 mil. 50% ! No wonder capitalism gets a bad name.
