  • debeers: $CG vs $BX-
LONG FORM-Carlyle reported and although it's up a bit, i would expect migration from Carlyle into $BX and here's why- Carlyle report wasn't as good as Blackstones. moreover the price apreciation in $BX far outshines CGs: to wit-

  • lanedra: @bRobert $HES $XEC $LMT $BCO $BX $KKR $CG Regarding $HES could you please explain further? Are you looking at a flag on the weekly chart? Do you use stops on your options? If so, what is your stop for $HES?
  • bRobert: @lanedra $HES $XEC $LMT $BCO $BX $KKR $CG I have been swing trading $HES most of the year. Very transparent trades. WEEKLY chart has a breakout /pullback/retest/flag $95+.....$100 with flag trigger longer term Daily chart has a small h&s top that could test $62 with trigger below neckline I had a partial call position on the swing trade bounce off the 50d Stopped out for a small loss today Will look to reenter with resumption of positive price action . Again with stop I place stops on all trades, usually triggered to a stock technical move . I add in scales with confirmation of the trade on pb/bounces trailing stops raised to break even and above along the way to lock in profits
  • bRobert: $BX Sideways consolidation/W near neckline $60/$75 $KKR same $36+ $CG nh $31 $HD Watching Not a safe entry yet Bottom of WEEKLY channel but Bear flag possibility looms on daily with $210 target until possibility killed off . • Sluggo: Back to bases or basics as the case may be. Almost all of my portfolio wants to take off (I know we all say that) but it is being hindered. They are mostly being pushed back into bases. This is a good thing if you are heavily in cash at the moment. The point is, when the market turns, you have to already know what you want to buy and then pounce. Here ya go: $GPI $FSS $GSHD $BRKR $AJRD $TMHC $ACGL $PPC $MTZ $CG $FND $CPRT $BOOT $TER $BLD $TTEK
  • debeers: @Sluggo $GPI $FSS $GSHD $BRKR $AJRD $TMHC $ACGL $PPC $MTZ $CG $FND $CPRT $BOOT $TER $BLD $TTEK The real beauty is that you already know which if the domestics perform really well and you'll get a second chance at them. I'd add $RH, $LAD, $MTN to the list. The first and last is because the wealthy won't let a pullback deter them from decorating their homes or skiing and the last because, come hell or high water, used car sales are advancing way more than used.
  • Sluggo: Cleaning out the garage.. out today $CPRT $CG $APPS $BOOT
  • Sluggo: @debeers $GPI $FSS $GSHD $BRKR $AJRD $TMHC $ACGL $PPC $MTZ $CG $FND $CPRT $BOOT $TER $BLD $TTEK $RH $LAD $MTN I already have those 3 on my list. We smart ones are already accumulating nuts to eat in the future. It's a matter of survival in the wild.
  • Sluggo: My only high beta baby is $SEDG which I sold 1/3 of earlier today for a nice profit. I have been leaning away from high beta for over a month now. My port now...please don't misinterpret this. I put this out there for the newbies and those looking for a life saver (no candy jokes). $BOOT $TMHC $ACGL $FND $CPRT $MTZ $FSS $CG $AJRD $TER $BX $PPC $INMD $TMUS $GPI $CHRS $BLD $SEDG The ultimate safety is cash, and, yes, I always have some dry powder.
  • bRobert: $BX $KKR $CG This trio has weathered very well No drama Long term holds
  • bRobert: $CG flag $31+ $KKR nh Look for pb/bounces $36 Monthly target
  • Sluggo: $MTZ $BX $INMD $CPRT $BLD $TMUS $AJRD $TMHC $KEYS $CG $SEDG $FND $GPI Run this list. I guarantee you that you will find something actionable. Low beta rules this environment. Just part of my port.
  • Sluggo: With the market in a sad state of affairs out there, I thought I would throw out a life saver (not the candy, wise guy) and list my port here. Take what you will from it. $BX $MTZ $INMD $CPRT $BLD $LSCC $TMUS $AUDC $AJRD $TMHC $KEYS $STNE $CG $SEDG $GPI $FSS $BOOT $APPS $NUGT $FND - day trade tomorrow at open is $DRIP.

  • Sluggo: @snowbound $BX Fully in and digging it. Also have $CG in the same asset mgmt. area.
  • rachel: ...
$CG - “Cup without a handle? IBD favorite.” It’s too steep for me to be a classic pattern. But a pop above $26 would likely lead to even higher prices.

  • rnrdallas: @bRobert $CG Div is nice and they seem to have the cash to cover . In good profit will hold until chart/price kicks me out.
  • rnrdallas: @bRobert $CG $KKR $BX Also in BX. Bought CG and BX about the same time. Not quite yield hogs.
  • rnrdallas: @bRobert $CG Thanks for reminding me about the possible C corp.

  • Wykeman: @bRobert $CG $BX $KKR Hey bRobert, how far ITM do you buy leap calls? $bx $KKR? thanks.
  • bRobert: @Wykeman $CG $BX $KKR $bx I had bought $BX . $40 2020/2021 calls . when the stock was in the low $30's . Given the very long time to expiration and a high target price, I prefer buying ATM or slightly out OTM . strikes.
  • bRobert: $BX $KKR $CG Making money mountains out of mole hills . All going higher
  • bRobert: $BX . perky . $39 . and 7% + . dividend $CG . working

  • bRobert: $FLT trigger. $BX $35 next off reversal. Nice dividend kicker 8%. $ KKR $CG setting up
  • mopick: @bRobert $FLT $BX $CG, continue to hold $BX which has been a frustrating hold, although their 8% yield gives some comfort. Considering the poor action in financials it's held up relatively well. Their latest move establishing the largest ever real-estate fund of $20 Billion is an interesting move. Not sure of the timing of this but as you constantly say, smartest guys in the room.
  • bRobert: @CraigReynolds $ZUO $FB $CRM $WMT My pleasure. I do post many/most of my set ups. I follow many stocks but have most of my capital concentrated in a few. The best of the best. I post quite a few, but am unable to participate in many of them d ...

  • Pcdentist: @bRobert $BX $KKR $CG How is $KKR looking to you?
  • Pcdentist: @bRobert $BX $KKR $CG Is $KKR a good swing trade?
  • bRobert: @Pcdentist $BX $KKR $CG $KKR is not at an ideal entry point. It is very extended. More of a partial profit zone or do nothing for long term holders.
  • bRobert: $KKR Short term target $30 . Long term Weekly target $36+ . Not necessarily straight up. $BX $CG will be travel companions with nice dividends (about 7% ) . Long term holds
  • bRobert: @Craig Reynolds $KKR $BX $CG Long term charts show a breakout with estimated measured moves with high targets. Long term chart breakouts tend to be more sustained and powerful than shorter time frames. The moves in these stocks have been on large volume. Volume is often is the lie detector that gauges the authenticity of the move.
  • Craig Reynolds: @bRobert $KKR $BX $CG Thank you for responding.
