- jwstich: @jan2138 #BDC One of the services I subscribe to said the following BDC's will benefit most from the new legislation: $ARCC $CGBD $FDUS $GBDC $PFLT $TCPC What are your thoughts on these? I am not convinced that BDC's have yet bottomed. They have been poor investments since summer of last year. Thanks, John
- jan2138: @jwstich $ARCC $CGBD $FDUS $GBDC $PFLT $TCPC #BDC My thought is that most BDC's have the bulk of their loans on floating rate terms while their own debt is on fixed rate terms. Thus, they will all benefit to some degree from rising rates. That said, some will do better than others depending on the terms of their own debt. Some have maturities which are closer than others which means when they refund the debt, the terms will not be as attractive as the current debt. There are other factors involved as well. I have read articles which refer to those that seem to be in a better position to benefit, and you have listed the ones i have seen. $TCPC is the only one I m long in that list.
