  • traderbren: $DORM - new high
  • ebell1: $Dorm Breaking out
  • DAN: @traderbren @ebell1 $DORM Saw that. It ran away before I could buy some. I do like the stock. It's under accumulation. Just tough to buy after it's run so far so fast. But it is holding the bid. If the stock runs above $94, we could just be locked out. Can't buy it up that high. Hope that it will pull back and rest a bit. I'm not anxious to buy the stock at any price. I'm anxious to the the right stock at the right price. Dan
  • traderbren: @DAN $DORM - I wasn't going to chase it either. NP, as it got away from me as the market came on. It will be interesting to see whether it can hold the highs of the day. Based on early indications, its having problems, but we'll see how it closes on the day. As you've said: Entry is everything / Position size (add as it works) / What's your plan to Sell (exit installments) / And most important, Risk Management, set your Stop (i'm Wrong!).

I have no real clue on gaming, I do know I needed to go to the link below for a system to meet my needs. If you are not going crazy then what you have above sounds good. In the small-cap space, $DORM receives some favorable coverage. The article stresses "potential", which suggests that performance isn't quite "actual", as yet. The chart seems soggy to me:

  • Forexpro: Re: $DORM Hi, Friends, As I mentioned this morning, this stock/company was the subject of a generally favorable article in Barron's over the weekend. I wasn't impressed by the chart, but the chart was evidently impressed by traders'/investors' reaction to the piece. All the best!
  • woodman: $DORM - auto parts company. It has been retracing well, now consolidating at the 200 day. No position.
  • Trixie: @moneyHoHo $DORM, also in the auto parts sector, and playing around the 200ma.. It looks to be making some kind of rounding bottom. Volume also seems to be coming in as it works on the bottom. Might be one to watch.. Finviz stats the short float is around 19%.
  • woodman: $DORM - flag on the 200 day.
  • woodman: $DORM - nice move above 200 day. Auto parts are strong across the board today.
  • Neil375: @woodman Nice to know I have some company in this one. Can't have enough eyes on the market. Here's a few others involved with autos. $DORM at support and looking and waiting for some buyers. They make replacement auto parts that are difficult to find even from dealers. $SAH It's a dealership with franchises . Came up on scans a few times. Moving up the upper Bollinger Band on the weekly. Yahoo list the 5yr expected PEG ratio at 0.89. Might be worth just checking about the company. I really can't find a great entrance might just go ahead and buy a bit.
  • Aragorn: $DORM - @Ginny been in some calls waiting - not the most liquid but green
  • boba: $DORM MGA - I have stock (no calls) in $MGA which is a somewhat parallel company to DORM. The calls are also thin and I'm not comfortable with that. Both stocks are having a terrific run.
  • ginny: $DORM looking interesting VS to upside. Working blind today. My computer died and I have my iPad only. Trading 5 accounts will be a nightmare. Liking the chart of $NKE that @Josh put up yesterday. Not able to watch TOS or my VWAP on freestockcharts . $&&@)(;:/()&&@&
  • Aragorn: $DORM - in a VS - looking good for higher. FD - long
  • ginny: $ASPS @Aragorn Posted about this and then lost sight. Great trade. The other was $DORM reports 7/30 BMO. Will watch closely
  • ginny: $DORM ASPS two interesting charts in a VS. One makes aftermarket car/truck parts the other real estate management and development. One in PA the other in Luxenbourg. of course earnings are next week.
  • woodman: $DLPH - many of the auto/auto parts stocks are (and have been for some time) pretty strong and, for that reason, many are hard to buy here. $SRI was my recent auto trade (I've been trading names in the sector based on the charts with some success); ...
  • woodman: Auto Parts - so many are working well, such as: $MGA, $AXL, $DORM, $DLPH, $LEA, $JCI, $MTOR, GNTX.
  • JW: $HOLX Joanie I've been looking at this one as well, from a TOS VS Scan from @Drscience, which also gave me EP and SNDA (Chinese gaming co). Not sure when to buy in this pullback. Also highflyer $DORM has a huge pullback to the 20. Hard to buy with such a big drop but perhaps a good buy point. This trying to work these variables out. @JW
  • joanie: $HOLX - I like the $HOLX chart because a drop down below 16 would tell you that the expansion is definitely not in process, however if you liked the company you'd be still have been buying much closer to support than you would with DORM. $DORM at 37 could quite possible drop down to 33 and test the 50ema. It's had a remarkable run and the likelihood of that run repeating itself is pretty doubtful and the downside looks scary to me. $HOLX on the other hand might just be warming up to start a run with the 50 having moved up steadily since July and pulling the 200 up along with it. That tells me to like the action of that chart. Yet it's not extended at all so this is a good one to take a chance on with little risk and blue skies all the way.
  • Namvet67: money maker patterns....could someone look at $DORM and $GGAL (daily and weekly charts) ?... are these running up too fast to buy? They're so extended but they're in the winner's circle.....i'm scared...thanks in advance
  • wachholder: money maker pattern...DORM and $GGAL I took a quick look and knowing nothing about the fundementals except thay are small caps and $DORM is in the replacement part automotive industry and $GGAL is an Argentina Bank, Their chart are way, way extended. For me, this is a pass. Their earnings are strong, though $GGAL PEG is close to 3 and $DORM looks undervalude based on their last qtr growth of 60% with a forward PE of 16. If I had to buy either today, I would take a spotter position in DORM. You may get a better price if the market becomes volatile, as many are expecting (so it won't happen right?) GL Wachholder
  • dagdog: money maker pattern : $DORM and GGAl, I agree with wachholder. The charts look strong, in really nice uptrend with strong RSI readings which tend to indicate overbought conditions which, as @Dan says, this is what strong stocks do. They get overbought and they tend to stay that way. That said, now is not the best time to be buying as the middle bollinger band on both looks to be prior support. So, your purchase price of least risk would be then. However, if you just have to buy them #rhrn, reduce your risk & purchase only a small amount knowing that you will buy more lower. For what it's worth...D.
  • wachholder: money maker pattern - @Namvet67 not a problem, thank you for discovering $DORM, that is now on my radar. GL Wachholder
  • reyfox2: $DORM broke out of #squeeze in July. It is following the Bollander Band. It is going until it stops. Buy a small piece here.
  • wachholder: $DORM - I only see blue skies for DORM. I've been doing some extra research on them and these guys are just "kiiling it" in the after-sale market and are making investments to get larger (I'm guessing they were primarily a supplier for big manufacturing prior) There are so many green lights flashing for DORM. If volatility increase it will be a good "stree test" for some of these strong names. But right now, there is nothing but complacency abound for the general markets :D The VXX is down close to 3% today heading into big headline risk. Makes for interesting trading. I gotta thinks puts are unbelievable cheap right now for $SPY and other indexes. GL Wachholder
