  • Hemal: $RCM Up 132.45%. Long term hold. Earning on 2/20/20. This one is still trading too loose. That being said I definitely am looking for much higher prices over next several quarters.
  • Hemal: $RCM A new contract announced today. This is a good area to buy once buying comes in. I have a full position already so even though I am tempted I am not adding more. • Hemal: $RCM weekly update. I hold a full position up about 128.42% as of last close. Please see chart notes for my thoughts. Education only. As Dan would say at this point I am a cheer leader. That being said money to be made here.
  • Herb: @Hemal $RCM Do you track the CANSLIM numbers re: MarketSmith?
  • Hemal: @Herb $RCM I look at MarketSmith yes for fundamental analysis just like Dan has showed us. I have followed this company for several years now.
  • Hemal: $RCM Breaking out today from stage 3 C&H average volume. May want to watch for a pullback to 8EMA to initiate a position or break out above 13.01 on volume. Accelerating earnings growth, good sales and margins are improving.
  • jknyborg: @Hemal $RCM Thanks for pointing this out
  • issues: I like these stocks but haven't yet bought: $NVCR $RCM $SLP $CSII. (Also I like $EVRI and$ IIIV.) waiting for a pull back.
  • hparikh82: @DAN $RCM Thanks Dan. I appreciate your take on the stock. I am a long time member for 9 years and counting and have learned pretty much everything from you. My name is Hemal. I will update if RCM continues to be strong and starts making money.
  • hparikh82: @GOOSE Thanks. Still learning. I appreciate your feedback. $RCM
  • DAN: @hparikh82 Thanks for pointing it out! I see the uptrend. I'll cover it in tonight SS, and here's what I'm saying in my notes: "$RCM -- hparikh82’s stock. Up 150%. Is it a GSL candidate? Revenue growth is really really strong, but no earnings yet. The estimates for 2019 are .07/share, while 2020 are .69/share. Stock is under big institutional accumulation. I wouldn’t put it on the GSL b/c it wouldn’t pass my parameters (the company has to be making money...or be darned close with massive rev growth). But it is a stock you could buy, with a trailing stop below the 50-day moving average (which is currently at $12.22). I think it’s buyable here, as long as you adhere to the risk parameter mentioned)."
  • Nepenthe: $RCM Also playing this one, but much more cautiously. "Broke out" yesterday on better than average volume; as Dan would say, I'd rather the BB"s were tighter, and the overhead resistance, 10.39 and 11.00, doesn't give it much room, but, there you go. Cheers.
  • Remington: $RCM bought this and have been trading it since Dans recommendation over summer (been trading in channel). Broke above my rectangle i drew and seemed to have support which used to be resistance so started building bigger position with stop on part below old resistance/ new support. big up day on big vol today see if we get follow through on monday....
  • Nepenthe: @Bogeyboy $RP $RCM I'd be interested in a response also. Both of these have similar charts, break outs followed by a severe recoil. I did sell all my RCM prior to yesterday's bloodbath, as stops were in place. However, I only sold half my RP near its high and as I was late to work yesterday, my other half fell quickly below where I would have put a stop. But that's okay, as I'm now back where Dan had said to buy on a pullback. I did add a very small, tentative position today, with Dan's admonitions about letting the growth stock pullback's settle in a bit before taking action. And I'll wait on RCM. Sorry I don't have more for you. Happy trading.
  • Bogeyboy: @Nepenthe $RP $RCM I am tentative also. Based on spmeyrs response I will wait for a bit before jumping in.
  • Nepenthe: @Bogeyboy $RP $RCM That is probably the prudent course of action, and why I added but the tiniest to my position, and left RCM alone. I think as Dan would say, there's no fear of them running back up to their high's without you, as it will take some time to settle in and then, perhaps, march steadily upwards. Cheers.
  • Nepenthe: $RCM Inching towards 10. . .
  • CHOFF: $RCM breaking out to nh on volume
  • Nepenthe: $ABT $RCM Interesting spike today on the former. Tepid volume. Looking to add on a break above 66 on high volume, or a pullback to the 50ma. Might have more "work" to do before it does that--if it does that--which puts it in the channeling category. That's it. Well, not quite. Did buy $RCM two days ago on its pullback to the 100ma. Keeping a wary eye on it but it was a low risk entry. Now that's it.
  • Nepenthe: $RCM NP, but thinking of starting one. 50ma seems to be the magnet; though it is a tad extended from the 200ma; and on the daily chart, it does appear to be entering a possible squeeze phase, with narrowing BB's. Earnings, based on Merrill's platform, 8/2. That's it.
  • spmeyers: @Nepenthe $RCM yeah, this does look pretty good; I'll see if I can get it a bit lower tomorrow
  • Nepenthe: @spmeyers $RCM That's what I'm thinking also. I don't think there's any hurry. Cheers.
  • KemoSabe: $RCM - Forming a bullish flag.
  • Nepenthe: $RCM NP but tempted. 50ma bounce and behaving seemingly well during the last decline and fall of the overall market.

  • stairm01: $RCM Has come back to a good buy point with a well defined stop. Leveling off on 1 minute chart. I rode it from $8.04 to $8.94 for a 10% profit June 4 on a bounce off of the 50 dma. Dan raised this a few days earlier in the forum.
  • djmurph: $RCM @Dan I'm a pretty green trader (hoping to be in-the-green) but your videos and explanations have been extremely educational. I took a position in $RCM at 7.96, and today it's at an ATH and closed above the upper band. Those seem like pretty good sell signs but also seems like there's potential to break out for another day or two (or more. Did I mention I'm a novice?). I'm loving the education I'm getting so far; thanks for all the work you put into this site!
  • Henry: @djmurph $RCM New highs tend to make more new highs, so that is no reason to sell. It is only slightly above the BB, so that isn't a reason to sell either. I would expect some follow through today. It moves in spurts, and nearly all the tallest volume bars are green. It is under accumulation.
  • djmurph: @Henry $RCM Thank you Henry! Just have my stops set for now and will watch how it goes.
  • DAN: @djmurph $RCM Hi djmurph. Welcome! Glad to have you here, and it's great to see that you're learning. Since you're new, I would suggest selling at least half, and maybe all, of $RCM if the stock falls back below today's intraday low of $8.74. Ma ...
  • djmurph: @DAN $RCM Thanks @dan. Seems I always set my stops a little lower than I should but I'll get the hang of it!
  • DAN: @djmurph $RCM It takes a while...BUT, the tightness of your stop would definitely vary depending on the trade you are in. Sometimes you'll keep a really tight stop, while other times you'll want to keep it looser so that you avoid getting stopped ou ...
  • Henry: @djmurph $RCM I got on board with you. Didn't know healthcare was cyclical, but...
  • djmurph: @DAN $RCM I really appreciate you taking the time for your replies. I don't do this full time so can only check my progress periodically throughout the day but am happy with how this one's gone so far. A few months ago I probably would have taken profits too soon (nothing wrong with that, I guess) but I'm seeing how they can run a bit more. And your answer made total sense. I'm trying to focus on solid bases and learning where the entries are. My biggest obstacle has been finding the right scan to use. Most of the time I get sent to stocks that have already broken out. All things in time...

  • jegathai1: @success $RCM moving up nicely
  • Nepenthe: $RCM Within two days a drip below the 50ma but now back up to the upper BB. Up over 5% today on little volume, narrowing BB's, still building a "base," seems a bit extended above the 200ma, with 50ma within the BBs, holding a small position still. FWIW.
  • singlemalt: @Nepenthe $RCM Dang, should've given it a bit more room. Only a small position, but the dip below the 50d got me, out only a penny above the low. Sure feels like that happens a lot (getting out right at the low - tests my strength to stick to the rules). Plenty of others working though... diversify!
  • Nepenthe: $RCM @Dan, yesterday you opened a position in it and mentioned you'd "explain tonight." No worries that you didn't, or maybe I missed it--you've got enough on your plate--but still curious about your thoughts on it to see if they parallel mine. My tepid concern is that it appears to my eyes a bit extended from the 200ma. No hurry on it. Cheers.
  • DAN: @Nepenthe $RCM HI Nepenthe. Sorry about that. The stock is still just consolidating...and looks like it's going to do that for a while. I don't see any buying pressure right now, though volume was much higher than normal yesterday. So there IS buying interest. Looks like $8 bucks is the "agreed upon" price. Just watch the 50-day moving average. If the stock breaks below that, then you should not own the stock. But as long as that holds as support, I think the stock can work -- it's just not working right now.
  • Danzguy: Stopped out of $RCM. Glad I put a tight stop on it. Best wishes to anyone else in it.
  • greenpatrol: @Danzguy $RCM Also stopped out.
  • DAN: @Danzguy @greenpatrol $RCM -- just keep an eye on it, gang. This could trade sideways for a week or two (or 3) to build a proper base. As long as the 50-day moving average holds up, the the "base" is still forming. If it doesn't...then it's not a base. It's something else.
  • success: @DAN $RCM currently put the stop just below the 50 dma . . spec position at this point
  • DAN: $RCM -- I bought some of this today. Starting a position.
  • success: @DAN $RCM you keeping your normal 2% stop
  • PJMR11: @DAN $RCM I am looking at chart. What do you see that caused you to start a position?
  • DAN: @DAN $RCM I bought this b/c of a combination of fundamentals/technicals. It's a small cap stock, which I like. Doesn't earn money yet, but revenues have been increasing over the past couple of quarters. I like the sector, and I like the chart. Will explain tonight.
  • PJMR11: @DAN $RCM Great. Thanks. I am just trying to learn to spot set-ups.
  • DAN: @PJMR11 $RCM Sure. I do a lot of reading in the evening, and find a lot of different stocks. I generate ideas and then put them into my calendar for the next morning, or a doc that I leave open. I then just check them in the morning. Many times, nothing is done. Every once in a while, something works.
  • thehook1: $RCM looking constructive
  • DAN: @thehook1 $RCM Yep. Haven't been watching this one at all.
  • spmeyers: $RCM has room to run higher
  • Geewhiz: $RCM @woodman Thank you for bringing the stock to our attention. In at 3.79 in October. Out today on stop loss @ 4.35 15% in two months.

  • Esther: @Bridget $RCM #ipo I am seeing these guys as R1 RCM, formerly Accretive Health, a provider of revenue cycle service to healthcare. It looks like they are just moving to the Nasdaq but went public sometime before 2010. All-time high was in the 20s. I will do a bit more research. If it trades above $3.28 it will have passed it's last high on December 28, 2015. We could be seeing the beginning of a very nice uptrend. Thank you for flagging it!
  • Danzguy: @Esther $RCM #ipo Good job on your homework, Esther. Got me interested and so I went to IBD and found this (fwiw): Composite Rating: 54 (first in group is COTV and RCM is not rated within the group), Mkt Cap $323.2M but the Accum/Dist is healthy as is increasing fund ownership. I hope this helps
  • grcjr: @Bridget $RCM #ipo - Hi Bridget. Interesting chart but is my Fidelity chart wrong? It shows $RCM (R1 RCM Inc) going back to early 2014 at prices higher than today, about $10.
  • Bridget: @grcjr $RCM #ipo Yeah, that was my bad. TOS is only showing me 3 weeks worth of data. Previously was known as $ACHI. I will remove from the #ipo list.
  • Esther: @grcjr $RCM #ipo @Danzguy hi there, I am just seeing your note. I dug deeper because according to Schwab they had EPS growth of 173% and annual sales growth of $405% - but it turns out FY2017 revenue and earnings are falling pretty hard (see below) ...
  • Danzguy: @Esther $RCM #ipo LOL!! Thank you for the update and no dumpster diving for me, either!!
