- phgruver: @CdrJake When I wrote a piece on $NAT last week, I researched day rates. While they had spiked, back in March/April, they have since come down, and are running around $14K/day. That's not that great. Because of that, institutional investors are skeptical that tanker stocks will be able to sustain their earnings. I watch $NAT, because I got stuck with a bunch (long story), but I think $TK is the big dog in that space. Long term, I wouldn't expect too much of any of them. It's just too competitive.

- phgruver: @Paulli0814 $NAT The question here is, how long can you afford to pay 30K/day to store 1M bbl of oil? At some point, the future price of oil isn't enough to cover the storage costs. Short term, though $NAT, $TK and $FRO make money.

- phgruver: @SHUDAG Yup, that was it. You were the last "bull" to jump on the rocket ship. Remember, entries are everything! If you don't get a good entry, you won't make money, at least not consistently. Today, from 10am to 11:15am was a good time to buy $TK. You could have added from 12:40 to 1:50, but after that, it had gotten away from you. $NAT's chart is similar. You could have bought when it touched R1 and rebounded, and maybe have added when it dipped, briefly below the VWAP, but then the trade was done. As @Dan keeps trying to pound into our heads, never chase....

OPEC, is going to cut back production. $TK, also has news, that is also moving LNG stocks and this pipeline company, $KMI. .....This sector is moving up the markets...many names are working, $PBR, is up 4.4%, plus many others, take a look,... you can find both high risk names and also low risk names. Look for a place, to make a bet, this game has started-up again.

This is also good for trucking, pipelines and rails. Economy is looking great for all 4 of these areas. India and Japan are big and with the middle east difficulties, who knows. I'm developing a list of rail. truckers, pipelines and tankers for a new watch list. Not familiar with Teeway Corp, a small 750 M company but tankers should be good at some point. Oil tankers...#2 LNG-Transports and they just took delivery on 7-new LNG-Tankers... #3 Oil and N-Gas producer, Off-Shore...#4 ---Floating-Storage-Tanks, Oil Tanker-Shuttles and they have large #Tud-Boats.. Take a look at their website and you wouldn't #believe how they tie-up these large tankers, when they are in port...they have #Photo's. They are also now moving-up off the low....and they have posted their reasons why...this could be the best tanker company in the world, day rates should start climbing.

Might be time for a move next year? $GLNG up 50% from late Oct, with lng exports legal now, and more nat gas than we can use, this has good upside potential. Above 30 and 50wma, close to the 200wma, and at 2y ath's. Parabolic on the daily, waiting for a pullback.

- phgruver: @StockMarketMentor $TK $TK is actually up, while rival $NAT is down. In case you missed it, $NAT announced yet another secondary for 110M priced at 2.75. This will increase the float by 39%. They also reduced the dividend from .10/share to .03/share. Herb talks a good fight, but right now, he's in the dog house. He's borrowed too much in an effort to expand the fleet too quickly. The very mistake he's often chided his competitors for doing....

- champ: $TK @ $8.75 HOD up 4.5%, on about double volume . Day 2 after consolidating/ building a low base for the last 60 days. The stock also consolidated at a higher level, before this low base. I doubled my position size because I'm guessing, the stock could bounce of this level and it just moved up thru, the 50 day...RHRN and I'm now running a trailing stop on the add-on, in case I'm wrong.....could be time for the next leg...?

- Vehid: @champ $OPEC $TK $MDR I have been swing trading $GUSH/$DRIP as the Oil price was swinging between $42-$47. Now, I am a little bit lost and thinking of selling $DRIP and taking profit. On the other hand, it is a little bit hard to believe those 21 countries can come to any trustworthy agreement. There will be cheaters but short term Oil can go up.

- champ: @spmeyers $TK $LNG #News #More #Day ---- #No.....$LNG is Cheniere Energy and they are the largest U.S. LNG exporter....they are still building out their liquefied natural gas facilities and its around 60% completed but they are a big exporter.....major construction is on-going at two of their exporting locations and they will be doubling their exporting size of LNG by around the end of 2018 because of demand. In the last 52 weeks the stock is up 22.5%. I only trade this stock off of news and at this time I have NP. Their are a few others but I don't trade any names in this sector, other than $LNG.......#Take a look at the chart and then you will be able to see my trades because I trade the zig-zags..

- champ: @Motorman $SLCA $TK $Tk --- On $TK remember when #Day Rates fall in this sector, this stock will drop....when Oil drops, energy names drops....doesn't really have anything to do at all with the 50 day....the 50 day only shows what has happen in the past with day rates, we don't really know what the day rates are going to do going forward....so you have to wait for the bounce.....LOL

- phgruver: @maratom71 $TK This is one of those highly speculative bottom fishing stocks. The dividend is only $0.055/qtr, and at the current price, that is less than 3%. This last low may have been the bottom, or it may not. If you are willing to take a gamble, it is right at the 50DMA, but it is a gamble. If it trades below today's low, it could just keep going. It would be much better if it got back above $8 and stayed there.
