I don't think you are early, since a lot of support at the 200dma and 50dma, with some room up to the 8dema... and TNA is the best performer of the indexes today. For all the indexes, getting back above their 8dema's is an important level to keep buyers coming back in. So far all 4 indexes are staying pretty healthy, working back higher. Of the 4 indexes, the only one I don't currently have a position is $UDOW, since it's now pretty stuck in the mud below the 8dema.

I'm a little surprised that $DJI $DIA $UDOW are down today, with more and more USA trade deals being signed, with reciprocal tariffs, and business being housed in the USA. It seems to me industrials should be the biggest benefactor as more deals are signed, factories built, infrastructure needed, etc.

  • bigbartabs: @Onthemark $XBI $LABU ... yes, I've traded 3x ETF LABU (and many others) off and on for years. However when the indexes take off like they have, I concentrate on the index 3x ETFs. Much easier to plow a lot more and bigger dollars into the indexes when they are performing so well. Trying to keep up with 20 or so 3x sector ETFs vs 4 3x index ETFs is easier to track, and to apply a lot more dollars due to their relative stability day to day. I've currently got big positions in $SPXL $TNA $UDOW. I'm out of $TQQQ until it perks up again. FWIW... all the best.

I too have been adding back all morning, including $TNA. $UDOW not yet, but looks to be working on a break higher... but with some additional resistance at 2/19/25. With the budget bill certain to pass, I'm guessing all 4 major indexes / 3x ETFs will be good places to be with low risk, and bigger size.

  • bigbartabs: @champ $UDOW $SPXL $TQQQ $TNA. ... I seldom buy single stocks any more. I just set index alarms to my iPhone, and wait for a pile in moment for the 4 3x index ETFs. Over the last 30 or so years of trading... my asset(s) rise is a lot higher since I've changed from single stocks to index trading. Not to mention a lot more time to do other things, other than sit at my desk and stare at my laptops 5 days a week. Life's shorter now that I'm 70... lots of other things to do before I go room temperature.

  • champ: $SSO $TQQQ $SOXL $FXI $KWEB, these are my ETF swings....and they have been more or less flat , after the open....I forgot that I was holding 400 shares of $SOXL, so that was a nice surprise for me this morning. ....Watch for possible Entries, at some point, for Investment swing positions and these ETF, they cover just about everything that is going on in the Markets.....and I should have held onto $UDOW but I didn't.

  • Nepenthe: @bigbartabs $NNE I put in two limit orders over the weekend for $TQQQ and $SPXL anticipating a weak open. I woke up with a "what have I done" once I saw the open, only to be rewarded--for the time being--on both. Wish now I had done it with $UDOW as well; quite the recovery there. Don't know how this will all play out but was curious if you have done anything with those tickers. Other than that, no measles here. And if one had measles as a youth, doesn't that preclude shingles later in life? Or is it the other way around? I did get the shingles vaccine, fwiw. Cheers.
  • champ: @kenb #Market....$SPY $UDOW $QLD $TQQQ ...What has happened in the most recent past, doesn't mean that trend will continue in the future....... ....and if we were to look at the $SPY and a few other ETF's, we can clearly see the start of a turn happening. For me, what I'm saying is ...what happened in the past doesn't really mean, that will continue into the future........ ....because the fact is, this is a Stock-pickers market and the #only thing that really counts is Entry-timings, on both stocks and sectors.   • champ: I will be #without power today, they are re-placing a pole......however I'm still holding $SPY $UDOW $QLD... all of my ETF swings and also my large $TSLA position, off of my Entry of $232.50,t hat I posted last week.......and also $CLSK and $RIOT........ ....I will be working off of my iPhone today, which is Not as good, as off of my regular equipment set-up.

  • champ: $UDOW $QLD...I had Entry this morning on both, for Spec Day-trade.
  • champ: $UDOW $QLD......as we all know, this is #FOMC-Rate-Decision-Day...and the play could be, off of that same trend, that there has been, a nice bounce off of the wording of the Rate Decision and then Fed-Powell saying, that #inflation has been dropping and that #will bounce the Markets, again, just like it did has time...... .....so it is a Wait and See how it plays out, and if we get a nice bounce again, I will probably take profits off on my ETF's again........... .....because it is true, as we all know, that Inflations has been dropping, so it is.......... #Risk-on-Game-on.....because the hope is, that their will be a Rate-cut this year.
