- heyjack: $exas moving higher
- bigreek42: $exas continuing slow move higher open skies
- bigreek42: $exas moving out of sideways pattern strong closes lately
- Onthemark: @bigreek42 $exas Approaching the 200dma. Looking for a move above to add.
- bigreek42: @Onthemark $exas yup the 200dma battle begins
- bigreek42: would $exas be considered a squeeze?
- cgendro1: @bigreek42 $exas - the BB width is near 37. A squeeze is about 6. Looks like sideways consolidation IMO
- bigreek42: @cgendro1 $exas thanks!
- marklesparkle: @bigreek42 $exas It squooze from 3/25 to 5/1 and then squeezed to the upside from the earnings to then work sideways
- Onthemark: @bigreek42 $exas I would agree it is not a squeeze; however, the 8dema has caught up to the price, which is where it may attract buyers. Resistance is up around 64 if it does make a move.
- woodman: @bigreek42 $exas - It's consolidating under the 200d after that big move , but not a squeeze as @cgendro1 said. Although the rule of thumb around here has traditionally been 6% for the squeeze, I add a personal footnote to that. Many stocks are volatile and trade in wide ranges; consequently, their BBs are usually wide much of the time and may hardly ever get to 6%. Therefore, my personal twist is to look at their BBs with a sense of what is considered a tight for THAT stock historically. I like to say, relative to other BB widths for the stock, does it look wide or tight right now? If historically for the stock the BBs are tight, then I will consider it a squeeze even if not fulfilling the 6%. That's just me, perhaps.
- bigreek42: @woodman $exas thanks- I got a bit confused as its only trading in a tight range the past 2 weeks since the move up. Interesting chart tho
- bigreek42: @Onthemark $exas trying to poke out now
- Bert953: @bigreek42 $exas it was, but broke out on 5/1. some current ones are $UPS $RDDT $TMO $SLV $SAM. Take a look at $ATGE its what u r looking for - 2 std deviation Bollanger Bands help to visually id squeezes. phase 1 squeeze (March 21 - May 1), phase 2 break out above the BB, phase 3 pullback phase 4, another leg up, hopefully similar to phase 2.
- bigreek42: @Bert953 $exas $UPS $RDDT $TMO $SLV $SAM $ATGE thanks will get a look at these. Lots of late volume today on $exas - decent reversal from the LOD
- Bert953: @bigreek42 $exas $UPS $RDDT $TMO $SLV $SAM $ATGE Np, also, Dan's rules for squeezes include increasing volume on the breakout and the squeeze should be fairly close to the 50dMA $NVDL is an example of one that already broke out on increasing volume, price was just above the 50. However, the 200 is above the 50 (inverted MA levels) so that's a concern, especially since the 200 is a strong overhead resistance zone.
- bigreek42: $exas top of range
- bigreek42: @Aragorn is there a reason why a stock like $exas doesn't appear on the inside day list? Thanks.
- Aragorn: @bigreek42 $exas For simplicity I only used the SP500 and NAS 100 stocks. There is overlap between the 2 but the population size was 520 stocks with 80 being doubles. being removed. I can do this with any population. But at some point if I did this with all US stocks a lot of garbage shows up. This works for me but a custom group of stocks is what I used to use. That had about 700=800 stocks
- bigreek42: $exas trying to move out
- bigreek42: @Aragorn $exas got it thanks!
- rjw225: $GH Dan's favorite trader, Cathie Wood, is loading up. It does appear that $GH is gaining ground on $EXAS in their colorectal cancer wars.

- FredsFreedom: $EXAS Island reversal not being filled, continues to run

- shoredriver: $EXAS.....yaaass.put a bow on that box....more to come...
- shoredriver: $EXAS $SHOP.....exas after tonight...shop in a.m...
- woodman: $EXAS fell hard under the 50d in early August after reporting, though it looks like it beat estimates including guidance. It's still under the 50d, but it's now consolidating and finding support at the 100d (& 20w/200w). Interestingly, the 100d was support in May too (from which it moved up nicely).
- shoredriver: @MongosPawn $BMRA . $EXAS.....No idea how it compares in efficacy to Exas test...ease and conv. is one thing accuracy is another...same for their bloodstock test for IBS.....there is a reason it trades at a buck or so....my money stays on $EXAS.....

- debeers: $EXAS-gave you the whys of the buys yesterday---improved effectiveness of their testing. Today Citi raises estimates to 130 from 100.
- debeers: $NVDA-Will lead the AI chip uiniverse according to B of A analyst. The best thing about the Magnificent 7 is that each excels in their fields. My only exception is $EXAS because the insurers will push hard in most cases to push this test for 2 reasons: 1. Helluva lot cheaper than them paying for colonoscopies 2. Catching colon cancer early better for them AND way better for their patients. I've had other biotechs from time to time but always come back to this one as a stock that has tremendous profit potential and ability to mitigate suffering.
- debeers: @debeers $NVDA $EXAS -need the supersqueeze for $NVDA to pop like a pimple up. Wait for it.
- debeers: $EXAS-The why behind the upping in prices today: LONG FORM; MADISON, Wis., June 20, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Exact Sciences Corp. - debeers: $EXAS-finishes at an all time high to which i can only say POOP POOP Y DOOP! As costs for colonoscopy goes ever up, and colon cancer is so serious and deadly, i think the avenue for this stock should be unfettered.

- Dig44north: $EXAS moving on triple volume….Exact Sciences Corporation (NASDAQ:EXAS) shares were up gaining 24% to $55.44 after competitor Guardant Health reported results from a study of its colorectal cancer detection blood test…np
- Margi1983: $EXAS An old friend in a bit of a squeeze just below the 200 ma. This name was at 158 in Feb. 2021 and is now at 46.80 so there may be significant upside. Earnings and sales growth look good
- woodman: $EXAS - totally lost sight of this one. Has taken off since reporting on 11/3. Np.
- jaaron2: Any feedback regarding the following would be appreciated: buying $LIT instead of ALB or SQM with stop at 77.41 adding to $IWM with stop at 193.11 Buying $XBI instead of $CRSP or $EXAS or $VRTX with stop at 91.40 Buying $ARKK with stop at 49.05 Buying $CELH with stop at 96.61 I am new to SMM so any feedback highly appreciated. Thank you humbly.
- Amisure: @jaaron2 $LIT $IWM $XBI $CRSP $EXAS $VRTX $ARKK $CELH - If I review my trading mistakes. I often find I bought stocks that are going up- but after they are already up a bit. So I buy up trending stocks but to late- then they correct. "buying after a zig then a zag happens". many of your buys here look like this.
- Docoof: @jaaron2 $LIT $IWM $XBI $CRSP $EXAS $VRTX $ARKK $CELH $LIT seems ok w/stop below the 200d sma. Above 80.50 and it’s above that resistance line that can be drawn from Feb2.
-
DAN: @jaaron2 $LIT $IWM $XBI $CRSP $EXAS $VRTX $ARKK $CELH
None of these are "perfect" entries, but here are my thoughts re/ risk:
LIT -- I think y our stop is too tight. You'll probably get stopped out.
IWM -- same. Stop is too tight.
XBI ... - joelsg1: @jaaron2 $LIT $IWM $XBI $CRSP $EXAS $VRTX $ARKK $CELH What everyone else said, but when setting stops below a recent low, pick a last digit number below a round number, so instead of 77.41 which is just above round number .40, pick 77.34, less likely to be hit. Also, learned from @Scottrades select GTC good until cancelled instead of Day for stop duration, supposedly scanning programs can't detect GTC stops (Hope that's true).
- jaaron2: @DAN $LIT $IWM $XBI $CRSP $EXAS $VRTX $ARKK $CELH Thank you Dan, I am learning. Thank you for all your input. Humbly I am not as skilled as the many other folks on your forum. So I appreciate your input. JD
- DAN: @jaaron2 $LIT $IWM $XBI $CRSP $EXAS $VRTX $ARKK $CELH That means that you are in the right place! You are going to do quite well with the attitude you have. Great to have you here! 8-)
