- joelsg1: $CRWD Down 4% and lost the rising 8d on news it's firing 500 employees of 10k total due to AI productivity enhancements and affirmed FY '26 guide (their FY'26 started 2/1/25). Q1 '26 E 6/3/25. When $META did the same thing in its "Year of efficiency" the stock took off and hasn't looked back. So what's the problem? I think because the stock had advanced 51% since its 4/7 low at $298 and the machines read the layoff headline and sold, also disappointment perhaps that mgmt. said nothing about this in its last E 3/4/25. Another 3 Day Rule candidate, then add to Long.

- joelsg1: @Bsielingtx $CRWD $META My understanding: When bad E or related news comes out, Day 1 when the news is out is the reflexive sell by those tuned into that news, Day 2 is catchup sales by others not so attuned, and most of that selling is done by middle of trading day 3, so per the rule OK to buy then. So with $CRWD, could start buying late Friday or Monday.

- TraderGeekSam: @champ $SPX I agree. I guess my post lacked context. My comment stemmed from the fact that when April closes positively, it portends good things for the rest of the year. When April is negative, the odds of having a strong rest of the year decrease (according to a few quantitative studies I've reviewed). That said, being the last day of the month, there was a lot of positioning at the close, so we have to take it with a grain of salt. The market was overly short on the opening and, in the end, excessively long on the closing. How much of a give-back we get tomorrow will be telling, but with positive reactions to $MSFT and $META earnings and the first-of-the-month inflows, the bulls have the edge.

If rises, set a sell stop at the price you bought it, and watch close. Of course there are many well above the 50 too, but it just struck me how many were below. As I write this, I see that $DIA $SPY and $QQQ gapped and crapped. Though the $SPY is hovering just above Friday's close. Interestingly, $IWM is well above the opening print and looks strongest for today. Since I'm not feeling the love, I'm gonna walk away....
