$AAPL and $INTC reported last night, along with notables $DECK, $TEAM, $VIAV, $BKR, $BOOT, $BZH, and $KLAC. Reporting this morning were $ABBV, $XOM, $CVX, $ETN, $LYB, $CL, $LPG, $CHTR, and $BAH. Most of these names have had normal post-earnings reac ... - djgustoso: $BAH my mother ship (other day job) opened down 5% on earnings but has reversed all of the move. Earnings, revenue and guidance all beat plus a dividend increase, so I'm surprised it opened lower honestly. Maybe a final flush out of weak hands. It's been a eye watering move down from $180 on the Elon Doge announcement, but for anyone who likes to bottom fish, I think a stop under today's low at $121 offers a defined risk setup for some retracement. Obvious resistance zone at $150 offers a 3R (risk $7 to make $21) from the current price at $128.
- djgustoso: $BAH Also for those concerned by the effect of our new president, our CFO on the ER call- 0937 ET - Booz Allen hasn't seen any impact so far from the cavalcade of executive orders signed by President Trump, CFO Matt Calderone says on a call with analysts. Even the one that tried to freeze spending on federal grants and loan programs, he says, which has since been rescinded. The company is seeing a slowdown in the procurement environment, but it had a good pipeline develop in fiscal 3Q, the CFO says. "How those two things net out, I think, remains to be seen," he says.

- djgustoso: @DavidK $BAH I'm pretty sure I read that employee has been fired. It's a huge firm with over 32,000 employees and we added 1880 employees over the last quarter. I'm sure there will be a couple of bad apples in any big company that don't like this, the last, or the next president, but I don't think I'll be making decisions based on them

The drop is related to the newly planned DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency). $BAH has a lot of gov contracts money and they will have a hard time securing easy contracts in the new administration. Popped up big on earnings, and flagged for several sessions, but today was a MASSIVE bearish engulfing candle on huge volume (almost as much as earnings). Not sure why it gapped up and sold off, I didn't see any news, but I feel like it has to be a big shot across the bow when the whole market is up huge and this stock is printing such an ugly bar. Would love some thoughts on how to manage a long position from below.
- Henry: @djgustoso $BAH is one of those stocks I wished I owned, but never did. My guess is there is a train of thought that Trump isn't going to spend on defense. Trump spent a lot on defense his first term and I wouldn't be surprised if he announces that our stockpiles are depleted and he has to rebuild them. Their military business is more in the realm of cyberwarfare not guns and ammo but I don't think he would cut that. I could find no news at all on TOS or Twitter. There is no doubt it is a big ugly reversing candle. If it starts to fill the gap I would sell, unless I was in it for the long long term.

- djgustoso: $BAH ATH my employer continues to make the right moves :) by far my largest position, but I can't seem to diversify away from it as it keeps going up! Don't be fooled, this is a very conservative company and they profit from government contracts (mainly defense) similar to $PLTR but have been in the game way longer (110 year history). Continues to be a buy and hold / HODL winner, and with geopolitical tensions high, I expect them to keep winning. Earnings coming up soon on 10/25 FYI. I have no insider information as a mid level cog in a 36000 employee behemoth company, but I have supreme confidence in my company's leadership FWIW Also it pays a 1.24% dividend yield, one of the few stocks out there that helps me sleep better at night, slow and steady but the weekly chart is a thing of beauty

- DAN: @djgustoso $BAH Just seeing your note. I haven't checked the news, but it's up a lot today on a breakout. Coming out of a squeeze here. If you didn't own any, I'd suggest waiting for a pullback...but since you've already got a bunch with a lower cost basis, I personally don't see a reason why you couldn't be adding to the position. But always remember that there is another side to every trade. Nothing is guaranteed.

- djgustoso: $BAH Incredible earnings report, stock skyrocketed into blue skies territory. Wondering if anyone has any thoughts on how to manage this position (I have a ton of it as I am an employee with 0 insider information). Been buying and holding for almost 4 years and feeling like I'm getting a little greedy, but it just keeps going up (right now, my holdings in the stock are probably about 15% of my net worth, which seems.... imbalanced to say the leasT).
- Henry: @djgustoso $BAH I have a relative that is in the same business, much smaller company. The stock has been in an uptrend since 2012. I think it's a core holding, which I don't hold. The problem is you both work for them and have an outsized investment in them. Knowing what I know, you are probably highly employable if you got laid off. So the question is, should you rebalance? The simple answer would be yes, but over 10 years the stock is up 23% a year. If only every stock in our portfolio would do that. I'd hang in there. You have a winner and I don't see anything on the horizon that will hurt the business.
