  • Henry: @bpotzer $BHP It's a gappy stock because it is an Australian company. I guess I can imagine a cup & handle on the weekly. I avoid foreign companies. It's hard enough to know what is going on in US companies. If you like uranium, why not go with $CCJ or $UEC No cup and handle in those 2 charts.
  • bpotzer: $BHP I know there's been uranium chatter as of late...is this is viable cup and handle?

  • Pokersmith: Iron-Ore Miners Seen Holding Strong -- While Goldman Sachs is tipping a 30% drop in the iron-ore price by year-end, the bank reckons it's too soon to give up on miners of the steel ingredient. "We think the ongoing recovery in global steel demand in 2Q means it is too early to become bearish on the iron ore sector considering the strong free cash flow/dividend yields in 2021 (average 10%/7%) and 2022 (average 7%/6%)," GS says. A lift in its 2021 average forecast, because of iron ore's strong start to the year, triggers increases in GS's price targets on miners, including a 12% increase for $BHP to A$53.40/ share, a 4% increase for $RIO to A$118.8/share, and a 6% increase for Fortescue (FSUMF) to A$20.40/share

Maybe it will hold the 8ma. $POT may be the real sleeper in the $MOO (although $IPI is not in the etf MOO). Both on my alert list. The Russian play of leaving the cartel and lowering the price looks more like a move to keep $BHP from opening a huge potash mine which would add another 20% to their market. If they can keep the prices down, $BHP may be more reluctant to move forward with their greenfield mine. Looks like big time Poker game to me. Maybe us small fish can make grab some scraps off the table now and then.
