- Suz: @Vineet $AXP I would hold the position as is and let it be called, and establish new long calls on pullback. The weekly chart does not show any weakness at all so I wouldn't suggest rolling to a higher strike right now.

The new goal is to get the width of the original spread ($20) PLUS original cost PLUS Sprinkles! Put out an order to roll MAR 165 to APR 185 @ 16.00, or whatever takes all risk from the trade. Hard to see 6 weeks into the future, but... on a pullback, buy back the MAR 185 Calls for a larger credit (smaller debit) than you got originally., and sell weekly premium (up to 8 weeks) through APR OPEX, or until called away.

- Pokersmith: @capitalist36 $SQ $MA $V $AXP That is correct , ref: Tax loss harvesting. Any less than 30 days and you will be subject to the wash sale rule, which would disallow that loss. I don't think AXP issue is the headwind affecting V or MA, they have their own issues.

Pokersmith: American Express ($AXP) is expected to report its third-quarter earnings Friday morning before the market opens. Here is what to expect from the New York City-based credit-card company.
EARNINGS: Analysts are expecting Amex to report earnings of $1 ... - Sher: $AXP - October weekly $180 straddle priced for a move of +/- 3.5% into the expected release of quarter results before the bell, tomorrow. Earnings consensus is for $1.80/share (a 38% YOY increase); EW is projecting they’ll earn $2.10/share – Revenue expectations are $10.5B, a YOY increase of 20%. Not particularly thrilled with today’s PB - Currently printing pretty bearish engulfing candlestick on daily chart. Long a few 10/29/21 $180 calls where OI is 5,294 (heaviest strike).
