  • jasper: $VNO, $PSA, $SPG, $HST, $BXP, $IYR - These are all in the $IYR and the winners' circle. The Mentor singled out $VNO, which reports on Monday the 27th after the close. The ones I've additionally listed to $VNO already have reported. Just putting them out there.

  • aragorn555: $XLF - this is the best performing group in the SMM ETF watchlist up 1.63%. Of the 81 stocks that make up the index a number of property management / Real estate #reits are doing well today. $CBG AIV $KIM HST $BXP SPG . A number of these are at 52 week highs. Maybe a pattern is emerging and real estate is on the move. Anyone have any thoughts or done any work in this area for stocks? thanks
  • DarceMaster: REIT's Anyone knowledgeable about REIT's such as $SPG, $VNO, $TCO, $BXP, $PSA and AVB? In general, these stocks are trading in upward sloping channels and are currently at a buy point at the bottom of the channel# some better opportunities than others. $PSA looks ready to move above the 200. Same with SPG. Any wisdom on a particularly good stock in this segment?
  • aptgods: Tradamom: My hitherto best channelers have been $BXP and SRS. I buy small. Though lately I am unsure of these and more cautious. I guess that goes for the whole market...I am seeing (this morning) that $EWZ is a good day trading stock for movement. Martha
  • aptgods: Hei, @Craigy, I have been in these two (SRS, BXP) for several weeks now...esp $BXP because it channels big! I don't short, just "long". I know this firm; great management and buying the best commercial bldgs during this down period of real estate. They just got permission to build in Boston's Copley Sq nr Prudential Center - a posh shopping area with hotels in Back Bay. I think there's more juice here, but I don't know for how long, or if commercial rental market will depress much or if it does if it will affect them much...that's some months ahead, I guess...
  • aptgods: Expect the Expected??? Made 11+% on $BXP today (earnings report), but learned of this A.H. Suspect I should take off table, but it's already up in A.H. Should I bid A.H. or leave it all to run tomorrow.???? My guess is to take it, but I am queasy dealing with A.H. Anyone have advice here? I know we all struggle with this kind of decision, but some have an edge...esp since we see many stocks crash after earnings...What is " the expected" here????? Martha
  • aptgods: @BOB: It looks to me like a lot of the sectors: oil, materials, ag are resuscitating today and may go higher tomorrow. As for me, I will be focusing small. Did well with $AEM over the past weeks buying 3 x since early August. Sold all but 1/5 - bought at highest price - and am waiting to sell that...Gold will rise and fall, and I will be there to catch it. I watch $LNN, $BXP, AEM. No, this doesn't make me money daily, but I am satisfied with this, since previously I held too many stocks and was buying on impulse without much research. Learning both $TA and fundies now...to get the broader picture. Learning where to do my research. It feels great to simplify and be mostly in cash. Martha
  • aptgods: Hi Folks! Have been lurking lately, and not well focussed on stocks, but with the slowing of seasonal business...I am able to better focus. Is someone able to help me understand this? . $RE this quote: BUYINS.NET / www.squeezetrigger.com is monitoring Boston Properties Inc (BXP) in real time and just received an alert that is crossing above its primary SqueezeTrigger Price, the price that a short #squeeze can start in any stock. There are 3359559 shares that have been shorted at the volume weighted average SqueezeTrigger Price of $92.755. To access SqueezeTrigger Prices ahead of potential short squeezes beginning, visit http://www.squeezetrigger.com . What are the implications of this bulletin for being long the stock? Does this simply mean that $BXP is no longer a short candidate? Much obliged, Martha
