Recession = Fewer rate hikes? $CLDX $VRTX Opening 10% positions in both today. $IONS My favorite biotech name is one of the few in the red today. Tracker only until it shapes up.
- woodman: $CLDX - found support on its pullback to the 50w where it consolidated for a few weeks. It started moving up and out last week. It's challenging the 50d now. I started a position last week and watching it here.

- woodman: @bsnceo $CLDX - I had many a go-round with $CLDX - both the good and bad - starting many years ago. A gal from yesteryear who you may just recall, Tricia, and I talked about it fairly frequently. Many others as well, some who are still here. Probably back as far as 2014.

- issues: I like these three bio techs: $CLDX $FOLD $PCRX. The others in the IBD group include $APVO $DNLI but they are too extended. My first choice would be CLDX then FOLD and finally PCRX. Any ideas or holders?

Still holding some options on $LOGI $COST $NLOK $OLED $CLDX. Lots of candle stick kicker signals especially in financials & travel equities, but i dont feel like playing. Whats the catalyst for a move higher from here? I used to have a photo on my monitor that said "buy support & sell resistance", so I'm looking to lighten up some more. Set bracket stops on positions and watching to see how Mr Market closes today.

I don't really expect it to reverse, before earnings, but this is a Bio-tech. Also, the date earnings is not clear. There is no official statement from $CLDX, but last year, they reported on May 14. I'd keep that in mind....

- Henry: @shoredriver $CLDX I suffered in that on too. Someone else was pushing that back in the day, Slowtime? and who wouldn't want a cure for was it brain cancer? There is a lot of smoke an mirrors in these biotech companies and when you read their pipeline reports, it all sounds important and break thru right until the next study comes out and says it doesn't work.
- debeers: @Henry $CLDX is an example of -lots of risk in biotech but the Amarin drug was viewed favorably by a substantial group.16-0 is the best one can do. It played out and to your point, @Henry--we're not talking brain cancer or dementia---we're talking expanding the use of an already approved cholesterol drug. I am long the stock because the bar was low compared to the market opportunity. Given the small cap of the company, i feel that the giants in cholesterol control might also find it an attractive takeover candidate. But we don't need that to succeed with this company.

Your only saving grace is that the stock monthly is higher than its open but we are losing the month in 2 days so a new month to sh_t on this stock. Serial disappointer leave this name alone imo
- DrScience: $CLDX presented data on new product candidate CDX-1140 and evidently the market, though slow to react, is liking the results. Above the 200 DMA for the first time since disaster struck last year and again in March. Though my cost basis is about twice the current price, I got caught holding the bag and am happy to see some light at the end of the tunnel. Just hope it ain't an oncoming train!
