- Lou: @GOOSE $ET - Still my largest holding. Up in part on news that $CNP disposed of the last 51mil of the ET units it received in the sale of Enable to $ET. With this overhang gone, $ET is deservedly getting the love for the massive cash flow it generates. It has committed to use excess cash flow to retire debt and increase distributions. The expectation is that by some time in 2023 the current 70 cent annual distribution will be increased, in increments, to the old $1.21/per annum.

- dunsek: #PickYourBottom not much of interest showing up on the 'within 7% of 52 week low and now crossing the 8ema' scan, though there is $HCP $CNP and $XRX. $CNP has the added advantage of whaty looks like an identifiable bottom, and being in the energy sector. My other favorite scan which has produced a few winners is the crossing the 8ema and PSAR flipping to positive. On that one, we see $BBBY $TE and $HBI $HBI might be interesting. If you flip over to the weekly, that's a decent looking chart. Needs to hold the 20 week avg though.
- bullmoose: $CNP - I mentioned this stock a couple days ago. It was a top stock for the rest of 2014 by one of the big firms. It's popping today. Bouncing off the 40-week average. It's not a fast mover so I played it with calls.

- woodman: CONFUSED - add utilities/XLU to the working sectors. On TC2000, look at the Diversified Utilities subgroup (of main group Utilities). Check out those charts. Awesome. And they keep going up for the most part. Look at the likes of $NI, $OTTR, $VVC, $UGI, $EXC, $UTL PEG, $CNP, $NU, $ALE, $NWE, $PNM, $WR, $AVA, CHC. I'm targeting/stalking some of these. I did enter $OTTR on this pullback and bounce off the 50 day, only b/c I like buying uptrending stocks on pullbacks to support. Many others, however, have charts that make you say how do I buy it now, which you could have said a week ago, a month ago and 3 or 4 months ago.

What gives? What's so special about this stock and why the sudden interest? The volume was nearly 7 times the average of 280K. The stock is $BZ (Boise, Inc.). - harveyrd: @Dan, First of all, thanks for the very informative video on utilities yesterday, it was very helpful. Question, during your discussion on $AAPL, you stated that symetrical triangles tend to breakout in the direction of the trend. In the case of $FE, which appears to be forming a symetrical triangle, the long term trend is down but the short term trend appears to be up. Would we expect the breakout to follow the long term down trend or the short term up trend? Ron P.S. I bought $CNP at 12 today based on the discussion yesterday and continued support at the 20MA.
