  • Onthemark: My good movers today were: $GTLS, $CRH, $ADBE, $NVDA. Also had some small gainers and small losers as well, but overall, a good day. We'll see what's in store for tomorrow after the CPI is released.
  • champ: @Onthemark $GTLS $CRH $ADBE $NVDA...Yes sir a great day and just might get another flat day....and most of the small traders don't understand, that the CPI is Not going to trigger a rate hike, unless it is way-out-of-line......
    ....and with all thats ...
  • Onthemark: $CRH breaking above the 50d, but it is the 5th day of the move. Looking to make a new high soon.
  • Onthemark: $CRH took starter on this Irish materials company with huge volume off the bottom, soon to have its primary listing on the NYSE this month.
  • Onthemark: $CRH an Irish materials co that is bouncing back after a pullback. Will be changing listing to the NYSE in Sept. Currently an ADR.
  • Docoof: Some Building and Construction Products/Materials stocks that made new 1-yr highs on Friday: $CRH $SUM $BECN $DOOR $EXP $BLD $FBIN $MAS $FBIN $VMC $MLM $IBP $OC $TGLS $CNM $AMWD $AZEK $USLM $NX $SSD $LPX $BCC $PGTI $MWA $ATKR $BLDR $BXC (Many noted by champ, woodman, et al.)
  • Henry: $CRH a CNBC talking head mentioned this one. An Irish company with holdings in the US that make concrete, asphalt and aggregates. Currently in phase 2 of a volatility squeeze. NP
  • Forexpro: Re: $CRH Hi, Friends, I'm not in this, but JPM's upgrade (to "Overweight" from "Neutral") this morning has now been countered by a Deutsche cut, to "Hold" from "Buy". Deutsche's move is on "valuation" however. making the analyst in effect a technician, a role for which s/he is probably ill equipped to perform: http://scharts.co/1mSptUG Not that I would have had the courage to buy it, even had I been aware of it, but yesterday's low, which just breached the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement, would have been a reasonable entry level. It's looking better today, although it's off the highs. Hope the day is proceeding well; all the best.

  • franknzupan: Hi James and the rest of the folks, What do you have on your short list? It might not happen this week, but I am looking to add to some of my positions: $ADM, $MDR, $POT, $MCD, $JNJ and possibly $FXI if we can get a reversal. Holding on gold (GDX, HMY) for the moment. I am interested in $AGU, $BG, and MOS. My infrastructure plays are: $MDR and CAT. I might consider $CRH, $EMR, $GVA, or $PWR in the short-term. I am watching LLL. I worked for them for one year in Iraq (MPRI). I took a small position in $AMGN recently. I am worried about materials: $AA and X. GLTA, Frank in Oil City, PA

  • kare: Good Morning, I'm a new member "mugger". On the theme of signs of strength in stocks, I've reveiwed some of @Dan's prior watch list suggestions....Anyone following $APD, $BG, $CCJ, $CRH,FE? All showing some signs of strength this morning...
  • Dan: ...
$CRH -- if you're a cement bull (infrastructure theme), then here's your "buy on weakness" opportunity.

$FE -- Buying the dip now gives you a clear risk profile -- last week's low marks what should be the bottom. So a stop just below that level ...
  • harveyrd: Having some issues here! Most of the "watched" stocks (SHEN $UYG GVA $PNRA FXI $XHB FLR $TOL XHB $CRH FWLT $DRI MDR AUY) that @Dan is discussing are running away without me. I've got orders in to catch the pull backs but they are not coming and getting further away by the day. Don't want to chase after them but don't want to miss the boat entirely either. @Dan's video on time horizons was very informative and timely as most of my trades tend to be a few months as opposed to a few days. Am I doing the right thing to wait for the pullbacks or is my time horizon long enough to suffer any short setbacks? Any helpful thoughts out there on your positions? Thanks, Ron
  • orthodoc: I picked up $CX and $CRH about 9 or 10 days ago. Also, thinking about $BOOM at 16.2. @Niche welding company. My list of infrastructure: $ACM, $ASTE, $BOOM, BUCY, $CAT, $CRH, $CX, $ENG, $EXP, $FLR, $FWLT, $GVA, $HIL, $JEC, JOYG, $LAYN, $MWA, $PWR, $RPM, SGR, $STRL, $TITN, $URS, $VMC Thanks @Dan for helping with these, Watching $RPM, $BOOM, $MWA closely. Have scaled into(and taken some profits) in $ACM, $CRH, $CX, $FLR, $VMC, SGR, and PWR. What do you guys think about water and utilities? Specifically, @Dan do you follow CWT--California water? I'm looking at E as well
  • April22: ...
I'm still fishing in the Infrastructure pond. Been there since early Monday morning with $LAYN (up 23%) and $CRH (up 12%). Thanks guys for the reminder about getting my stops on. I have been moving the stops up on both, just in case. I almost ju ...

In addition, some food and energy products are subsidized by the government. As these products rise in price and the government keeps those higher prices from flowing through to end users, the costs to the government are increased. In some countries ...
  • ROCKY: Yacht: responsing to ADR question..have contractors in doing remodling so am running behind. I own many positions in Japan, although I cut them back in Feb. particularly the exporters until there is some clearity on the Yen in the world market. I hold $TM HMC KUB in small amounts. In tech I have $ATE and NJ. Internet IIJI. I own a lot of NIS, A finance company (The Japanese have different barrowing habits than Americans). I am avoiding the banks and other consumer stuff like MC for the time being. I hold AIB and $CRH in Ireland. SGG and QI in Germany. $SYT in Switz...Watching QI with a small position (like MU) and $TSM with no position. I see no safety in Latin America or the Middle East and got out of emerging markets several months ago...looking to do some adds again in Australia
