  • tuffee3: #Dan $ORA $CSIQ $AQN DO you have an opinion on ahy of these stocks?
  • DAN: @tuffee3 $ORA $CSIQ $AQN #Dan Hi tuffee3. I really don't have much of an opinion on them because they're not stocks that I follow. CSIQ, as a solar stock, always has the potential to move big, but there's no real setup here, yet. AQN pays a good dividend, but I don't follow the company. ORA is showing some promise...but it's still in a downtrend.
  • stacil: $CSIQ.#Bollinger Bands-is it squeezing??
  • DAN: @stacil $CSIQ #Bollinger Not really. Too early. Needs to tighten up for another week or so. Also, the stock is really down. We want the squeezes that occur above the key moving averages and above support, which gives the stocks more potential upside. Anything can happen with CSIQ, but I suspect that any buying will be met with a lot of supply here. Hope that helps. Dan
  • GuitarGuy: $CSIQ is having a nice run today.
  • GuitarGuy: $CSIQ moving higher
  • MayoEng.: $CSIQ low risk entry too.
  • stairm01: @GuitarGuy $CSIQ Bought stock this morning at 12.36. I've been doing well on these stocks that have dropped big and finally bouncing.
  • GuitarGuy: @stairm01 $CSIQ Yes, many of them are doing nicely. One exception is $SKX. I am still waiting for it to move. It's been a real dog. Often moves up early in the day only to quickly sell-off.
  • Gary: ...
    18. $CSIQ – Alert $12.95

  • spmeyers: Solar watch: $TAN has pulled back to 50-day, though it hasn't been support; $CSIQ seems to be bouncing but volume is lacking
  • woodman: #Solar has been doing well. $TAN $FSLR $CSIQ. Even $SPWR, if it can get up through the 200 day, may have a nice decent run higher still up to about $9.50 (and then who knows).
  • champ: @bigbartabs $TAN ---- The reason is...$CSIQ they beat on earnings on all lines and guided higher....news is moving up the sector.....earnings were reported this morning.
  • Gary: ...
    15. $CSIQ – earnings.
    16. $SPWR – has been rangebound for a long time. Extremely speculative.
  • Junior1: #solar $JKS and $JASO report Wednsday. Up 19%, 30% in the last month, respectively. Could be a sell the news event. Much like what happened to $CSIQ last week. $FSLR and $SPWR both popped on earnings, but neither had a run up into the event.
  • champ: @efrain007 $NTNX $28.35 HOD ---- This is a 8-month high...moving up on volume because the #NewsFlow has been really positive, over the last few days, with one article about a new customer...$CSIQ is making positive comments about their business improving because of their new solar performance because of $NTNX . Volume is up over the daily average by around 55% RHRN. Earnings are not until 11/29 but unconfirmed. For me, this is my #1 small cap tech stock pick.
  • efrain007: @champ $NTNX $CSIQ #NewsFlow #1 Yes some good news indeed, remember reading that a few days ago, though the stock didn't jump on it. Regardless, Ill take it today. I unloaded most today but still have my core and will look to reload on pull backs. Owned this one since June ;)
  • champ: @efrain007 $NTNX $CSIQ ---- Markets are really not easy, as it zig-zags higher and it appears that many traders and investors are really nervous. I'm still holding my core also.
  • woodman: $CSIQ started moving well at 1 pm.
  • bRobert: @woodman $CSIQ TAN breakout. Rest will follow
  • Bridget: Those that think the solar eclipse is affecting the solar panel industry are selling. If you think this is all bogus hype, see this as a good buying opportunity. But wait until you actually see buyers come back in. $FSLR stock is at $46 and lower BB is at $45. $TAN is near lower BB at $21. $JKS took a big hit, but at the 50dMA at $24. $CSIQ is breaking down out of a squeeze, but might find support at $15
  • Sluggo: @Bridget $FSLR $TAN $JKS $CSIQ Bridget, I made some money on $FLSR but more on $SEDG. I had dinner with a guy that installed solar and he told me that $SEDG had the best tech since the lowest spot on the sun on their panels matched the output of their panels on the closest spot to the sun. He was quite impressed with their advanicing technology. Any thoughts?
  • Bridget: @Sluggo $FSLR $TAN $JKS $CSIQ $FLSR $SEDG I can't speak to their tech. But this stock held up better than most which is a good sign.
  • Junior1: @Bridget $CSIQ Barcalys downgraded
  • spmeyers: $CSIQ low volume pullback
  • spmeyers: $CSIQ making a move higher
  • Bridget: #Notes: A lot of stocks that have been seeing pullbacks saw a bounce today. $SMH is one OIH - oil is going lower, still lots of overhead resistance. $BP moving higher. $WB $SINA $YY $JD - all making moves higher Some retail pushing higher - $LULU $TGT $EL $EXPR $ODP Medical devices seeing support - $MDT $BEAT $ALGN $TAN $JKS $CSIQ - moving higher $EEM - moving higher $WING - breakout $SAGE - breakout $APO - breakout $KEM - breakout, IBD50 $GRUB $YELP - even higher $TTWO - holding gap IPOs $VST $APPN $HCC $SGH Earnings after close: $LQ $MAR $W $CBI - very high IV $VRX $ALB
  • Junior1: @DAN $TAN - Top 10 (62% of Total Assets) Components of $TAN : $ABY $CSIQ $FSLR $HASI $SEDG $SPWR $TERP $GCPEF Xinyi Solar Holdings Ltd Meyer Burger Technology AG
  • Bridget: Solar is still holding up well $TAN $FSLR $JKS $CSIQ $SPWR
  • Bridget: Solar is still holding up quite well and some are going higher. $TAN $CSIQ $FSLR
  • woodman: @Bridget $TAN $CSIQ $FSLR #Solar - $SEDG ascending solar stock in day 3 of pullback to near 21dEMA with long tailed hammer (fluctuating green-red).
  • Bridget: @woodman $TAN $CSIQ $FSLR $SEDG #Solar decent entry point.
  • issues: @Bridget $TAN $CSIQ $FSLR you may want to add $VSLR - it's got an IBD rating of 99A+ (Cum/accum) they don't get any higher than that. Solar is industry group 10 (very good )! VSLR is up 65% in ten days. That's extremely rare! The only problem and the reason I won't buy it is, it's only $5.85/share. These tend to drop faster than they go up. Not for the faint in heart - like me.
  • DAN: $CSIQ -- Weak today after a 20% run between Wednesday-Friday. If you're trading it, traders take profits.
  • Robert1965: @champ $TAN $SPWR $SEDG $CSIQ Sorry I left yesterday and just got back now, I was looking for a long, didn't get filled
  • viibrides: $CSIQ Breaking out day 2
  • Bridget: $TAN this solar ETF is breaking higher. Been seeing lots of buying in the solar stocks lately. $CSIQ $JKS
  • JJT1: $FSLR $CSIQ $JKS $SPWR Only thing better than being in $FSLR (I am withJul 35 calls) is being in the others!
  • bigbartabs: @Bridget $TAN $CSIQ $JKS ... is there big news in the solar sector? Maybe just the intense heat in the west fueling speculation of more push to go solar?
  • DAN: $TAN $SPWR $SEDG $CSIQ -- some of the solar stocks are working pretty well. SEDG (which woodman has already mentioned) is in a good uptrend, and $SPWR is in a power move today. $CSIQ -- big breakout from squeeze today.
  • Robert1965: @DAN $TAN $SPWR $SEDG $CSIQ What do you think is the best of these
  • Bridget: @Robert1965 $TAN $SPWR $SEDG $CSIQ I would choose $SEDG or $TAN. $SEDG is in a nice uptrend and isn't too extended on the daily. While $TAN isn't going to move as fast but lets you be more diversified across all solar stocks and less risk for getting hit by one-off news events. But really they all look pretty good from a long term perspective, breakout on the weekly with good volume.
  • champ: @Robert1965 $TAN $SPWR $SEDG $CSIQ.....for a long or a short....
  • JJT1: $TAN $CSIQ $FSLR $SPWR $JKS Appearing to be coming out of base. $TAN in 3% VS and 50 day SMA crossed over 100. $CSIQ up 4% today after bounce off 50, 100, 200 SMA's $FSLR 50 crossed 100 now 50 cross 200 imminent $SPWR also at all three SMA's with 200 day about to turn up $JKS further along as al three SMA are pointing higher, with 200 day just today turning higher. I'm in $FSLR (jul 35 calls) but looking longingly at others.
  • bRobert: $zg $uscr $fslr $csiq Other breakouts of note with good weekly charts. Solar perky Fslr gud buy point
  • justinp: $JKS $CSIQ Strong today despite oil dumpage.
  • stevef214: @Bridget $BABA $FB $AMD $DOW $SLCA $GRMN $PWN $FISV $CNI $LNT $FMSA $MMM $QVCA $FSLA $CSIQ $JASO $JKS $SND $IRTC $PTHN $PEN $CNDT What do you think of $BABA today. It's down but holding the 8EMA? Is this a god place to add?
  • Sher: $CSIQ, $FSLR, $TAN - Really glad I didn't jump on this bandwagon, yesterday...
  • Bridget: $CSIQ giving you a good entry here just above the 200MA.
  • infocus: @Bridget $CSIQ Thanks for the alert. Small opening position @ 14.33
  • Bridget: #solar $TAN $CSIQ $FSLR $JASO $JKS all have pulled back today but I'm still bullish on these stocks. They pulled back in the morning but all have since found support. I would still wait for a bounce on volume but look for good entries into these stocks.
  • issues: @Bridget $TAN $CSIQ $FSLR $JASO $JKS #solar Can't buy 'em all. Which is your choice?
  • Bridget: @issues #solar $TAN is your lowest risk, $CSIQ is looking better than $FSLR. $JASO is the cheapest so you can buy more for your money. Those would be my top 3.
  • bigbartabs: $CSIQ ... if you thought you missed CSIQ, you might not have... laying on the 200dma as I write this.
  • Sher: @bigbartabs $CSIQ - Are you in it?
  • spmeyers: @bigbartabs $CSIQ the large drop is concerning; I may wait on this
  • DrScience: @bigbartabs $CSIQ Amazing what happens when the stock gets downgraded from overweight to neutral. Hmmm.. probably because their competitor ($FSLR) didn't offer "huuuuge" guidance.
  • Bridget: ...
    Solar Stocks - $FSLA $CSIQ $JASO $JKS saw a nice pullback today giving you a better entry

$SND - continues to break higher on good volume
    $IRTC - working
    $PTHN - working
$PEN - up at all time high but looks like it might need to rest before the ...
  • bigbartabs: @Sher $CSIQ ... I bought some very near the 200dma. Now hoping for bounce to add. Buying right at major support points like this are very low risk buys... because it doesn't take much more of a drop to know you are wrong... with only a paper cut due to a small initial buy... Cheers...
  • bigbartabs: @spmeyers $CSIQ ... large drop... yes, that's why we should always start with a small number of shares than what you would deem a full position... then add only if it finds buyers on the support line. The nice thing about the 200dma and 50dma... if it ends up going down further, you usually get at least a pause before it does... giving you time to react. I'm getting to where I never start a position unless there is big support right under. Then adding when I can stop out the whole position flat. Hopefully all that makes sense... Good luck...

  • DrScience: $FSLR up 5% ahead of earnings tonight. Holding JUN 40 Calls @ 1.12. $CSIQ, $SPWR, $JKS, $JASO all up nicely, too. :)
  • Bridget: $CSIQ, $JASO and $JKS are both looking strong today. Solar, $TAN, is seeing some good volume and starting to come out of this base. #dumpsterdiving

  • Bridget: $CSIQ coming out of a long base
  • effbee: $CSIQ Almost too
  • TunaHelper: Keeping an eye on the solar stocks - in particular $SPWR, $FSLR, $CSIQ. Had a mini-pop a couple of days ago, dipped a tiny yesterday, and resuming (somewhat modestly) up today. All of these charts look terrible and have huge short interest. However, I am wondering if folks see it as an opportunity to crush the shorts before year end? Complete speculation, but this would seem like an opportune moment to crush shorts in heavily shorted stocks.
