- spmeyers: $DLR looking pretty good: The continued spread of the COVID-19 virus over the past several weeks has many businesses rushing to cloud computing, particularly as more companies are shuttering their offices and having workers remain at home while continuing to work remotely. This shift of more companies adapting to cloud computing has increased the demand for digital centers that house data in climate-controlled buildings, with servers that help keep them safe. Most of these facilities are part of Data Center REITS, such as Digital Realty Trust, Inc. (DLR), which operates 210 data centers globally. This 3.1% yielder spiked to a new high last week following a pre-announced merger with cloud data center InterXion. The acquisition will help DLR grow beyond their portfolio of 210 data centers and expand their footprint in Europe. All of this has analysts raising estimates for both this year and next.

- issues: IBD 50 shows one category, industry group #13, with 5 stocks; $COR $SKT $SSS $STOR $PSA. This is a strong sector right now. But the stocks in this industry group I like the best are not in IBD 50. Looking at the charts and increase in eps these were my two favorites; $DLR & $NSA. I am still waiting and watching. I can't tell which of these is the best choice.

- hazelb41: @jan2138 Thanks for your feedback. $DLR is certaily not a high yielder but a comfortable yield plus an uptrending chart makes it desirable to me and, not being sure how to categorize it, it gets clumped into the yield portion of the portfolio. What do you think about SDR? Improbably high yield. Ex-div next Tuesday. Not sure what to make of it.

Yes it seems we are having the early revival, sale pending signs are more to see now in my neck of the woods. Last week was the first week I started trading properly again after many months where I found it hard to recognize a trend in the market and stocks. I bought this one a few weeks earlier (i used the @Dan method of setting a price alert) and it's moved up steadily since. In fact many of these stocks are on the move: $DLR, NHP, HCP. $DLR might be best in show. -- @jmscap
