- woodman: $HL - I bought this yesterday and added this morning before taking a few hours of hiatus to test drive some golf clubs. This continues its breakout above 6.53 resistance. Nice move here on the weekly where one can see a lot of room to move higher.
- woodman: $HL - completion of intermediate W, and trying to get and stay above 50 week resistance. Flag on the daily just above the 200d. Lots of room above to complete a cup/bowl, if it can keep going.

- issues: IBD group 13 is gold. (Thats an excellent group for the time being). In that group are these: On the 10 day chart $EQX (up11%) $DRD (13%) $SBGL (8%) $AUY (7%) $KL (7%) $HL(1%) So AUY is better than HL (just look at the 10 day chart.) The best would be EQX and DRD. Both are highly rated on IBD EQX is 84 (composite) A accumulation DRD is 97 A- I bought EQX because it’s a $7 dollar stock vs a $5 stock. I just got a hundred shares.

All the moving averages are beneath it unlike a number of other silver tickers. $PAAS good too, though I think I like the $CDE chart and reward potential better right now if it does get through $12.

- bullmoose: Just popping in for a minute. Take a look at $TWTR for a short-term bounce to the 200-day, played with calls, and $HL, bouncing off the 200-day. I've been long $HL for a couple months now and it's been good to me. Aso, keep an eye on $ACAD, $ACHN, $BLUE, and $CLDX, all stocks I own that are looking ripe for a further move. I bought more $FEYE today too, but these shares will be sold quickly once it hits resistance at the 200-day. I also bought more $TRUE today on the bounce off the 200-day. $TLT is bouncing again, but I'm not trusting this bounce yet and am not getting back in yet. I'd feel more comfortable at 128.
- bullmoose: Trimmed several stocks this morning, including $OREX, $ACHN, $CHK and $CBOE. I'm also tightening partial stops on others. I'm also thinking of re-loading my $TLT calls. I was going to wait for it to reach the 20-day, but I may take a small position in case it doesn't get there. I'm watching $NOW closely and may trim calls on that one a it is above the upper bollinger band for the second day in a row. I did make one buy, and that was to add to my $MIK position. $HL is legitimately breaking out today…finally. I'd add more but I'm already very long. Will be looking to trim in another 20¢ or so.
- bullmoose: $HL is breaking out. I added to my position. $CORN is also continuing its breakout. I took some more profit in $BLUE and $ACAD.
- bullmoose: Keep an eye on $HL. I own it, it's squeezing up, and it looks like it's getting close to popping to the upside. Set an alert at 2.67.
- bullmoose: $HL is trying to break out of consolidation. Many of the gold and silver miners have put in short-term bottoms over the past couple of weeks, forming higher lows. Strong resistance looms above and I'll be looking to take some profits out soon. Short-term goal is 2.75, which would be a nice profit from my original buy point. I'll take some off the table there. Medium term, I'm looking at 2.90.

- bullmoose: Gold Miners - Hi Forumers. I stole a little time to check in. It's been awhile. One category I have noticed @Dan hasn't been paying much attention to lately is gold miners. But if you take a look, you'll see that many have bottomed (at least temporarily) and are bouncing. Two that I have gotten into over the last several days are $HL and NEM. In fact I've already trimmed some and raised stops. $HL had a nice breakout above the 50, then pulled back to tag the 50 and bounced. That's when I pounced. $NEM did the same with the 20 and I did the same. I also like $AEM and VGZ. None are at buy points right now, but pay close attention to any pullbacks.

- bullmoose: @Silver Miners - Quite a few @silver miners are looking good chart-wise. Not only $HL, but $AG, $SLW, even CDE. Also, on the gold side, I like the charts on $NG, $NEM (which I mentioned earlier today), $AUY and to a lesser extent, VGZ.
- Stormy: $GDX Took a starter after being stopped out 11/17 Waited a little too long to buy it back. Look to add to this and $HL tomorrow on strenght, also add to slw. Think all will eventually move up with the money printing. Keeping stops fairly loose to avoid the paper cuts. Stops are below those suggested by free stock charts. How do others select stops? - dr.orangejuicer: $XRA HL UXG GDXJ etc. - Ran through the $GDXJ holdings and noticed a couple more miners with compelling charts: $HL and UXG. Both look close to breaking out of long-term consolidation (9 months or so), very interesting weekly charts. Still just one position in XRA.
