Only 5% or so available houses in existing construction. $LEN/$KB/$TOL upgraded because the diamond in the rough missed. $TMHC's home sales BEFORE the rate cuts were up 30% y/o/y.

I usually trade $LEN because of 16.9% short interest. $LEN reports tomorrow before market hours. I will gamble on it. I meant to say: I will not gamble on it. - dennis: Homebuilders- "Pessimism is nearly palpable on $KB Home (KBH), with buy-to-open put volume ramping up in recent days. During the past five sessions, traders on the International Securities Exchange (ISE) have bought to open 7,871 puts on $KBH, compared to just 1,882 calls. In other words, speculators have snapped up 4.18 times more bearish bets than bullish on the home builder during the past week."
- strickland411: Hey $KB, call me @Tim (I gotta change my screen name) I think this is just a correction based on the news that came out this morning. The futures were only down about 20 points in the pre-market trading, even after the fine against Intel was announced. It wasn't until teh consumer spending data got released that things really tanked - and after the market opened, it got worse. I suspect the initial bout was a lot of automated orders (I know most of my stops were hit) but I'm not reading too much into this. The market has to correct at some point; it doesn't JUST go up. Regarding the casino stocks, again I would watch the channel and compare them to the previous day's intraday low. These are particularly volatile stocks, especially over the last 10 days or so. Lots of people have made lots of money on them.
