- phgruver: @setshot $HNST You've got to do your own research! Don't act on someone else's opinion, verify the thesis and decide if it's your trade. This company IPO'ed in May 2021, and has lost money every quarter since. "The Honest Company, Inc. is a lifestyle brand that formulates, designs and sells clean products with a focus on sustainability and thoughtful design." Personally, I'm not going there. $PG, $CL and $KMB are the big players in that space. They are all making money (positive earnings) and have reasonable dividends. In fact, $KMB looks to be at an attractive buy point, with a 4% yield. As you already have a position, you have a decision to make, hang on, or bail. I can't help you there. This may be the bottom, and it's off to the moon, or it can fall $3.25 lower....

That said, if you have strong hunger pangs, be sure to use stops/position size to protect. But I trust nothing here. These are major support levels that are failing. There will be sudden rebounds, but cash suits me right now.

- Bridget: @chunlow $KMB I mostly look at stocks that have good options liquidity, since I mostly only trade using options. But I have also had good success trading IPOs since they can be very volatile in the first year and typically are less expensive to trade. I don't have a large trading account so I have to trade small stocks or use leverage like options.

- bsafriet: @Henry $NEWT $KMB #STOPS #ATR @Dan Thanks for the link for the tutorial on ATR. I've been looking at it and thinking about using it as an input for setting a stop. I have been using the Bollinger band width to estimate a stocks variance and using that to set the stop for those cases when there is no obvious support nearby. Using the ATR will be extremely helpful in those situations. Maybe Dan could touch briefly on this subject in a strategy session or a question and answer session. Another tool for the toolbox. Thanks again!

- nb8702: @mrohde $KMB I think it will eventually fill the gap. I can see it tagging 130 and pulling back a bit before it moves higher. It can also retest 123ish if the over market picks up a little steam back up to 2100.
- TunaHelper: #Rotation_out_of_defensives Seems to be a rotation out of many defensive stocks (and perhaps the sector): Example charts: $HRL, $CPB, $CLX - as @HooDat just aptly noted, all the cig stocks - $MO, $RAI, $KO, $PEP, $KMB, $PG, $TSN, $K Many of the charts seem "broken" to me (or close to it). If they bounce back to resistance or key moving average, I would suspect that would be a make for a good setup for shorting many of these. Devil's advocate position: If the market rolls over in a major way, that might not be a very conducive environment for shorting these ones.

- champ: $DG $67.31 - New position today...Bounce Candidate. I believe the YTD double bottom has been put in on this stock going forward and into the Holidays a few days ago. This chain of 12,000 stores has all the Seasonal Products like decorations, toys, greeting cards along with all product lines ...they have just about everything you can think of...Food Products... Milk... many name brands...$PG, $HBI, $CLX, $KO,$PEP, $KMB, $K, $GIS these are just a few. Take a look on line at the inside of their stores and their product mix list. This stock just about always climbs from Oct. thru Jan. or Feb. ...the one exception was in 2013. This is a great store for just about everybody even if you have money....a really fun store to shop. I'm hoping this stock drops so I can add.
