  • Nepenthe: @woodman $AI Indeed. Also, I know you follow $XBI, and it seems to be experiencing a "trend break", both on weekly and daily. I'm back in $LABU from around 2.70 and will sell and add accordingly. I believe you closed out you $LABD position? I do admit that I look to you, Champ, and bigbartabs for thoughts and ideas. You, along with a few others, seem to have the 3xETFs dialed in. Cheers.
  • woodman: @Nepenthe $AI $XBI $LABU $LABD - You're correct, I am not in $LABD. I feel like things may have shifted in the biotech world, though we'll see what happens with XBI and this current move up through the 50d. I note that XBI is hitting descending resis ...
  • Nepenthe: @woodman $AI $XBI $LABU $LABD Yes, they are more involved in various ways, but I know you follow biotech and are a good monitor for the sector. I've done quite well with $LABU, following a lot of your posts. Keep 'em coming, and thank you for all your contributions. Cheers.
  • woodman: $XBI - watch closely. After moving above the 50d today, and testing virtually perfectly the descending resistance line drawn from its more recent high back on 6/13, it is now pulling back and trying to keep its head above the 50d. Generally speaking, XBI has been a graveyard since hitting its ath in Feb 2021. Though still above the 8dEMA, a failure here may allow for a $LABD trade.
  • woodman: $XBI $LABD - weak bounce in XBI thus far this morning. I'm still holding LABD from yesterday.
  • woodman: Out of $LABD
  • woodman: $XBI - watching this for possible entry into $LABD.
  • woodman: $LABD working well.
  • woodman: $LABD $TZA near highs of the day.
  • woodman: $XBI down down down. See $LABD
  • woodman: @bigbartabs - $LABD has been my best trading vehicle.
  • woodman: $XBI rebounding along with almost everything today, but I'd still bank on the pattern of selling (shorting; $LABD)) when it moves back to around the 8/13/21dEMAs (there's some wiggle room around those MAs and you just have to feel it out). Shorting works until it stops working. :-)
  • traderbren: @woodman $XBI $LABD - I was just taking a look at $LABU ....fugly, but it may catch a bounce here. NP
  • woodman: @traderbren $XBI $LABD $LABU - the sector, in general, has been a train wreck.
  • woodman: $XBI $LABD - the method continues to work: When XBI moves back up to/peeks above 13/dEMA, buy LABD.
  • woodman: $XBI $LABD - XBI rallying back to its 13dEMA (actually almost hitting 20dSMA) yesterday gave another opportunity to get short via $LABD. Such moves over the past few weeks have have turned out to be good places to short XBI.
  • woodman: $XBI another cliff dive in the making today. No real support to speak of for another ~$7 down (June last year) unless it miraculously manages to re-attain some descending support from two Septembers ago. I'm not feeling that. $LABD on XBI rallies back to the 8/13dEM area.
  • Nepenthe: @woodman $XBI $LABD Agree. I'm looking at 61/62 on the weekly for the next level to try $LABU; should be around 2-3 dollars at that point. Cheers.
  • woodman: $XBI stalling at 8dEMA again. $LABD.
  • woodman: $XBI $LABD - XBI has lost most recent support and there isn't anything but air down to old 2022 support (~$62). Whether it gets there, who knows, but LABD continues to work (notwithstanding some reprieves along the way) for this beleaguered sector.
  • hazelb41: $SFM $GOOGL $KNSL $LABD $JDST Working.
  • woodman: $LABD working well. $XBI has again fallen off the cliff. Next support is pretty far down.
  • woodman: @bigbartabs #Market - I've taken a shot at $LABD here and there.
  • Nepenthe: @bigbartabs $TQQQ And here I was blaming my trading platform! A little rain here last night in Reno, and we don't expect much more. Hilary's skirting us. By the way, I really appreciate you chiming in with the condition of the indices. Since I do mostly 3XETF's, (a bit of $TQQQ and $LABD at the moment) based your insights in the past, it really helps me get a sense of overall direction. I know, dancing with the devil, as Dan would say. So keep 'em coming and stay away from the bourbon. We need you clearheaded. Cheers.
  • woodman: @wijimmy $LABU $XBI - $LABD - You are very right. Despite my keen interest in the sector, and my owning several select names in the sector based on research and catalysts I've posted here, I also have a position in $LABD. Though I think the sector could start turning around in the fall, that's a guess/hope. I'll believe it when I see it. So for now, playing it to go down more.
  • woodman: @champ $UVXY $SQQQ $SDS $TZA - $LABD leading the way.
  • champ: @woodman $UVXY $SQQQ $SDS $TZA.....Yes the race is on and $UVXY is closing the Gap....$LABD $FNGD...LOL
  • woodman: @champ $UVXY $SQQQ $SDS $TZA $LABD $FNGD - I was just at the Saratoga Springs horse races on Saturday. I feel like I'm back there. :-)
  • jwstich: $XBI, $LABD, $LABU @Scottrades any thoughts
  • scottrades: @jwstich $XBI $LABD $LABU Potential Bottom Fish, but I'd wait to see if it bounces first.
  • woodman: Top 10 inverse ETF gainers today (on my watclist of 29; obviously incomplete; and some overlapping): Inverse ETFs leading the way today - $OILD $YANG $DRIP $FNGD $DUG $SOXX $ERY $LABD $TECS $SCO

  • champ: @vcondry $LABD #Bear .....This is a Spec, at this point now and everything depends on the Markets, on if this could continue this move, for a possible breakout.
  • champ: $LABD... HOD...but going to downsize and swing small size, for a possible add-back.
  • champ: @Cjauger $SPY $AAPL $SDS $AMZN $DLTR #News #News #next .....Yes $SDS and $SQQQ...both had nice moves off of LOD to HOD....No positions for now....I was asleep at the switch...the flip.....and $LABD also had a nice move. Nice catch, Nice moves..... .....and on $AMZN......I'm still holding and I just added a 1/2 size Spec trading position, at $114.51...and I'm trailing that Spec....
  • Cjauger: @champ $SPY $AAPL $SDS $AMZN $DLTR $SQQQ $LABD #News #News #next I hate this market, I have caught nice moves only to watch all of them go green to red. My wife keeps telling me, take the money. Today I listened to her and @DAN confirmed what my wife was saying in the training session. Went to cash right before the turn (a bit of luck on the timing)
  • champ: @Cjauger $SPY $AAPL $SDS $AMZN $DLTR $SQQQ $LABD #News #News #next ....Yes..same here....I hear you. ......My guess is, your $WIFE is your best position, need to hold onto that position, for sure and I have been holding my long term position now, for over 57 years. LOL

  • champ: @Cjauger $SPY $AAPL $SDS $AMZN $DLTR $SQQQ $LABD #News #News #next.....Yes sir...very disappointing, I was way-up today and I ended the Day around the Flat-line...and I always try to keep my expectation low... exactly because of this reason....and I'm Not going to tell my Wife.

  • issues: As an ironic sarcasm the IBD says "Market in CONFIRMED UPTREND!~" Wow how can they get it so wrong. With the nasdaq down 566 points, if this is an uptrend - what does a downtrend look like?? Right after I posted this the IBD changed to "Uptrend under pressure." I would say with a DJI down over 1160 the uptrend isn't under pressure, it's under water!! I bought $LABD.
