- Docoof: I didn’t post this over the weekend b/c of second thoughts on the weekly chart. But it could play out successfully and it can’t hurt to post a trade idea: $KHC 6-month high on 7/13 = 39.44. The horizontal resistance line drawn from here is where $KHC failed on 8/11 (39.33), 8/23 (39.01), 10/28 (39.05), 11/2 (39.04), 11/22 (39.06) and on Friday (39.18). $KHC is in an Industry Group where its peers have recently made, or are still making, new highs: $GIS, $CAG, $LW, $PEP, $LANC, $POST, $SJM, $CPB, $TWNK, and others. $KHC is right above all its MAs, but they are not in order. I assume there’s some reason why its underperforming, but it seems worth watching for a high volume move above 39.50. Closed Friday at 38.90. $KHC’s 1-yr high = 44.87.

- Docoof: @Kime This kind of info is helpful in that it points to Industry Groups where one can perhaps find stocks with strong charts. For example, the companies that make/sell Jelly and Jams ($SJM), Twinkies ($TWNK), Campbell’s Soups ($CPB), Lay’s potato chips and Mountain Dew ($PEP), Corn Flakes ($K), Cheerios ($GIS), Raisin Bran ($POST) — these all made new highs on Friday and they’re all in the same Industry Group: Food-Packaged. This group is ranked 29 (out of 197) and maybe there’s something else in it that looks promising such as $CAG. $CAG makes Slim Jims, Orville Redenbacher popcorn, Vlassic pickles, etc. $CAG’s hod on Friday was 36.82, just short of its 4/21 1-yr high of 36.97. Maybe it’s ready to start making new highs. It’s on my watch list.

Cons Staples were the top performing sector last week, and we see an opportunity to sell longer-term weakness in iShares Consumer Goods ($IYK): $HAIN, $HAS, $HBI, $HELE, $LEG, $MDLZ, $POST, $WHR.
- DrScience: $POST to complement $DF's cereal disappointment, grocery stores are cutting back shelf space on the cereal aisle. Even in the face of declining grain prices, Post had managed to hold its own... until recently. Price has fallen to 78ish and found a bottom. Price targets raised in SEP and OCT, currently in the $100-110 range. Looking for a move to 82ish into earnings on 11/16 AMC.

- BoundForHell: $AAPL - I wrote a similar post yesterday, but my count was wrong, as it was still correcting, hopefully I got the count right this morning and we are now working wave 3. @Elliott and Fibonacci whispered to me from their graves that it should climb up all the way to the $690 to $696 level. We we should finish this wave by end of day, but it may drag on till tomorrow morning. From the $693 level it will pull back and form wave 4 most likely a 6 to 9 dollar drop. BFH ADDITION TO $POST So much for this post it looks like I still do not have the correct count, the price action over the last couple of days has been very strange and volatile, I will need to work out a new count.

This is on th ... - T-Rod: $POST Downturn Question for forum. Let's sat in the next week or two we do get a 5% pullback as we have in the prior earnings seasons. How many feel this is another buying opportunity versus staying in cash (ie neutral or stopped out of longs) versus the start of a move lower so perhaps create a short list. If anyone feels shortish I love to hear a good short list to have ready to go.

- trihan: IDEA for the FORUM .- What is we had 2 $POST THREADS daily, INSTEAD of $ONE (1). $ONE only for INDIVIDUAL Stock names, and INDICES. ONLY !!! A SECOND $ONE for EVERY OTHER Type of comments , questions, seeking advice, @DAN help here, @DAN opinion there, etc.. BOTH are very valuable resources. I love the FORUM, but it is too congested "in my point of view" with different types of posts. Maybe if we differentiate the post TYPES in 2 categories, we can enjoy it better.

- dlh: Did you miss the 2007 year? They had an undefeated regular season $POST scandel. Last year they were alright after a bumpy start with Brady gone. This year is simply inexcusable. But I dont think the Chargers can do it this year even though they match up well against the Colts.
