  • Docoof: $SAP I’ve been following this because (imo) it has such a great chart, but couldn’t get a decent entry and so don’t own it. Just now there is #News SAP Updates Mid-Term Financial Ambition 2025 and Announces Share Repurchase Program of up to €5 Billion. #TradingHalted As I’m about to post this, I see trading just resumed and it looks like it’s dropping.
  • Tlluride: $SAP on an uptrend, up to the 200 day.
  • debeers: $GOOGL-Above the fold on page 1 of the WSJ today was the news we already knew about. The victory of $GOOGL over Oracle in the patent lawsuit. If i shorted stocks, which i am emotionally unable to do, today i would short $ORCL and then go long $SAP with whom $GOOGL is replacing $ORCL for those particular software products. Unfortunately, they have not severed all ties with the firm--only the software. The reason i included the "above the fold" comment is that, no matter what else anyone sees, they'll see that. LONG $GOOGL.

  • debeers: MDSO-What really got me interested in this stock, besides our biotech Queen loving it, was the fact that it is the ONLY one that does what it does in the cloud. Look at CRM. It competes with $ORCL and $SAP in the cloud space for business services but only $MDSO can save drug companies money in trials which is the real drain on a drug company;this is what you want--a company that either has no competition or a duopoly a la Boeing/Airbus. This is not something that a Benioff, for all his genius or an Oracle for all its ruthlessness can do. That's why you want it.Pharma needs it.

  • bullmoose: #Financials & Gold Miners & a few others - I'm sitting on my hands so far today watching my short #financials go greener than my long #financials are red. $TMF is working nicely too. It's a nice little green morning on a do nothing day. (Too bad I wasn't long BEXP or EP.) Some stocks that are catching my interest are gold miners, especially $AUY, $EGO, $GOLD, $NEM, $NGD and VGZ. @Silver miner $EXK is also on my radar. Fort a clearer look at them, check out the weekly charts. Here are a few other charts I like (to buy on weakness): $ABB, $BSFT, $CTXS, $CTIC, $COP, $FFIV, $GWR, $KSU, $KBH, $MO, $NTAP, RRR, $QCOR, $SAP, $SIMO, $SYK, THO.
  • bullmoose: Several Nice Setups - Now that I'm sitting on a huge cash position after trimming more stocks (mainly $EMC, PANL and ZAGG), and have risen stops on others (AAPL, $KH, SLW) I am eying several stocks that have real nice chart setups. Rather than buy now (some are breakout stocks like $CTXS that have had decreasing volume as they are breaking out), I'm going to monitor them for pullbacks to higher support levels. Here are a few tickers: $HBAN, $HCBK, $WFC, $QCOR, $MITK, $SAP, $SYK, $STAA, $HOS, $GWR, KSU. I still like $AAPL, $EMC, $CTXS and PANL too. All on pullbacks, though I have nibbled at a few just to get in the game.
  • Steve1126: @Bigbartabs/Markets-Thanks for your post. I took profits last week and only held a few companies. Got stopped out with short leash trailing stop losses. So have plenty of cash. Going almost crazy because I am missing many point run ups in stocks I held. Like $SAP and $SLB, not to mention $AAPL calls. So everything is at the top of range. I cannot believe this will continue. So going to gym shortly. As annoying as losing profits are, more annoying would be watching or taking losses. That is my only consolation.

  • bullmoose: ARBA, $SAP, $SNX, $ALLT, $EMC, APKT - ARBA, $SAP and $SNX are all just breaking out of squeezes and had down days on low volume Friday after the breakout (actually ARBA was up a little). They could be offering nice entries #RHRN. $ALLT, APKT and $EMC are testing their highs and should be watched.
  • bullmoose: Trannies - Are continually having difficulty getting back above both the 20 and 50-day averages. If it eclipses the low of 4917.70, looks like the 200-day could be in play. I wouldn't get aggressive to the long side here at all. Anyone know a short side $ETF for the trannies? All the semis I was looking at are showing a lot of weakness here. Even the breakout stocks like $SAP and $SNX are struggling. $SNX is all the way back down to the 20-day today. Perhaps a good buy point if it bounces. Even oil stocks are retreating, including the ultra strong ones like $RES and PBR. I made the mistake of adding to my $OXY shares earlier. The precious metals have come down as well. I can't find much that's continuing higher on the day.

Its a nice takeover candidate as well and with $IBM, Oracle, $MSFT, and $SAP around who knows!! From now on, my guess is, the power rests with traders herding or over reacting. Technically, for short term, the stock might fall (shake weak hands) and fill some of the gaps (6). I will mitigate the risk by re-sizing my position.
