I have a had a pretty good track record with overall market type etfs like $SCHX which I am able to trade without any commission. It seems there is always some crisis that pops up like Italy, interest rate ...
- bsafriet: @activetrader1 $SPY $SCHW Sorry about the mixup - I looked at $SCHX in the comparison, mental error when I wrote the post and used $SCHW. I hardly ever sell the open with the exception of large gap up openings. These are gifts and I have learned to sell and take the profit while it’s there. Doesn’t mean that I don’t try to maximize the profit, I do, but hardly ever sell at the exact top. I generally swing my trades over several days to several weeks, closing the trade when price targets are met or a reversal occurs. And yes I lose some when my exit signal/stop is hit. Best of luck to you in your trading endeavors and keep posting!
- Poppy: @jververis You posted last night about getting exposure to indices..but I didn't see it until now...Somehow I came to the same conclusion [must be strong telepathy you sent out]..Actually I had orders in at certain prices. With too much cash earning next to zero in MMF...it's a no brainer. Got in $SCHX, low balling $SCHF and SCHE...no fee...low expense. Such a deal, as long as it goes up, of course. Good luck & let's keep our dough. @poppy
