- joelsg1: @woodman $EXK $PAAS $ERO $HBM Bailed too soon on my gold trade $UGL calls, but on a parabolic move with a time-decaying asset needed to sell at predetermined profit levels, mistake was not keeping a bit on. But still running.

- DAN: @Sluggo $NUGT $UGL $WPM Yeah, I feel the same way. We're lucky to still have Sammi...but she spent every day of her life with Tonya, so I think she's struggling more than we are. Very timid and disoriented. But we'll all ultimately be fine. And we will get another dog. I've lost two dogs over the past couple of years, and it's pretty rough. But I'll see them again in the next life. I'm sure of that. 8-)

- DAN: @Sluggo $NUGT $UGL $WPM I've read a lot of articles and seen interviews of people who have had NDEs. (near death experiences). There are dogs! And as someone posted a while ago, Will Rogers once said, "If there are no dogs in heaven, then I want to go where the dogs are."
- Sluggo: @DAN $NUGT $UGL $WPM There is a great Twilight Zone episode about a man and his dog. The man & dog are out coon hunting and drown. They try to find Heaven. One door had a really happy guy there. The dog kept his master from going to the happy guy into Hell and led him to the next door with the entry to heaven. The guy at the door to hell also said that they couldn't take the dog. Cant remember the name of the episode. An original one from the early 1960s.
- DAN: @Sluggo $NUGT $UGL $WPM Hell is where dogs are not. Anyone who owns a dog (and is a dog person) knows that heaven is where dogs are. The definition of unconditional love is the love of a dog. They love you no matter what! No matter what. All they want is love, and to be loved. Food is optional. It's preferred, but they'll love you even if they are starving. Butt scratches are always nice too. Anything that gets the dog to wag the tail is good stuff. ;-)

- dave11: $UGL - $UGL is a limited partnership so that means you will get a k-1 come tax time. just a warning for those of you who do not want to do that. For leverage on gold I am long deep in the money call #options on $IAU which have been working nicely.
- Splendor: gold companies - $SA, $KGC, $RGLD, $NEM, $SLW (ok, @silver) - gold miners and royalty firms seem to have turned a corner. this is worth watching because after a holding/consolidation period for gold, at least a few month pause on easing measures, a rally in the dollar that could easily take a breather - the gold market is ripe for a rally even if just for a few weeks. The breakout on these and other charts are rather clear and strong. i'm only in $UGL but considering dipping my toe in today if gold continues to hold the rally it started on Friday. That was a big rally and the fact it is holding worldwide is telling. Telling of what is the question. Me thinks the same thing as never-before-seen yields on Treasuries.
- TSC: $GLD, UGL: Am hearing conflicting reports on whether this is a buying opportunity or sell and get out for $GLD, UGL. $UGL is at point of resistance today. Any thoughts?
- markor01: $GLD @MSL...currently not in any gold positions. Had day traded it on Friday. Would rather play the VXX or TZA/FAZ if market retreats further. But if money gets pumped in, gold is worth watching. $NUGT trades oddly so may go back to DGP or $UGL instead. Watching $NUGT to get more familiar with it. Did play it Friday and did well since I bought it premarket and got out when it started to sell off. Currently futures are up but we'll see what the morning brings.

- rczar: UGL......need some insite from the team I have an order in for $UGL and it shows it down 7.55% but gold is down 5.5%. $UGL is supposed to trade at 2X the movement of gold. I trade other 2x -3x etfs and they mimic the trade pretty close. Any insite is appreciated.

- Splendor: $GLD - @stockstrade, 174.75 is a point @forexpro identified earlier today. i'm long gold through GLD/IAU and $UGL and will add when it feel like it hits a sticky point. 175 is likely that point.
- Splendor: $UGL - bought some at end of day. i also have had trouble getting back in. i'm just in for a trade but if gold just meanders sideways for a few weeks i'd stick with the trading position and add.

I tried to find some answers but couldn't come up with any yet. Will keep checking, but I imagine both are fine. - jetace: Higher lows - my 23 year old found it because he did not have enough $ to buy as much $GLD as he wanted, I have been in $IAU since I started a position in gold, I have also been using $UGL as a "booster" when I have had technical indication gold was going higher, might be interesting to use it as a position tool on the coming pull back

- Academydl: $SLV , $GLD , $AGQ , $UGL Metal Traders, The reason for the expected metal sell off after the "Debt Ceiling thing" is resolved is because the dollar is expected to see some temporary strength. Not sure how much the dollar will benefit but keep it in mind as you look to add to your metal positions.

In fact, I got stopped out of my $SLW position days ago, locking in a gain, but I expected the selloff to continue if the budget deal is resolved. That's why I haven't tried to time getting back on board GLD. Markets are almost positive now ...

- Splendor: $GLD - thanks @forexpro, glad to hear there are big buyers hunting around for good entries. it is hard to believe this squeezy thing happening would resolve downward given the usual factors. i bought back into gold via $UGL at 80.96 with a stop just under the low a few days back at 78. will add upon $GLD a solid sustainable-looking break above 151.50 area.
