- Lou: Having kept the faith with $BA, I'm finally getting a payday. I've building a position in the shares and a wide variety of short puts for some time. Doing a happy dance!
- DavidK: @Lou $BA I bought 1 call yesterday and sold this am before 10 am for 60 % gain . Had a dentist appt and didn’t want to give back the gain . Now it’s $7 higher .

- Lou: @Lou $BA - IMO the best is still to come. Holding fast. Some of my short puts expire worthless on Friday and on the 19th. The rest are well into 2026, all in the green and I'm staying greedy. What comic book character said, ""Greed is good"?
- Lou: With my continued confidence that the large $BA short put positions will not get put to me, I continue to redeploy cash into my MLPs. I now have very large positions, and a few small short put positions, in units of $ET $EPD $MPLX $BSM $PAA and $WES. Love the tax deferred cash flow the MLPs generate!

- Lou: @bwcarnation1 $BA - the comeback is well in process.
- Lou: Other than $WELL, $ARDX and $FTI, a few not very significant placeholder positions, and a couple of losers, my holdings today are divided among very large positions in MLPs. I just love them and have made outsized bets on them. By far my largest position is in $ET. I also have large positions in $BSM $EPD $MPLX $BSM $PAA $USAC $WES - I hold these positions because they are large, tax deferred, cash flow generators. Most of the annual distributions are treated as reductions in tax basis. As I've previously posted, they provide me with tax deferred yields of between ~ 7+% and ~9% and when I die, my estate will get a step up in basis. EDIT - I did forget the red headed stepchild in my portfolio - $BA - major loser for me and I'm still full of, what @DAN calls #hopium!
- Lou: Only fair for me to disclose my very bad holdings - I own $CAVA $BA and $SRPT from above, have been slowly liquidating $SRPT and holding out (or smoking) a lot of "hopeium" for $BA and $CAVA

- Lou: @camaro69 $CAVA $BA $SRPT - I have no idea as to why I still own $SRPT and have been slowly reducing my exposure. I have a lot of hope and expectations re $BA and the $CAVA holding dates to the IPO and it's been an elevator ride for me, with many ups and downs.

- Bert953: @Lou $BA Looks like it didnt hold. Price is sitting below the June lows, though only Friday and today. Price still below all the major MA's and the Ichimoku cloud, stochastics are languishing on the floor of the oversold zone and the BBs are expanding as price continues to fall. The latest downdraft in price appears to be the result of earnings 2 weeks ago. Not feeling the love here. I've been watching $BA because I'd heard that a new CEO is attempting to fix their QC and other issues. Planes falling from the sky is a bad thing! Not yet ready for primetime
- Lou: @Bert953 $BA - While I don't disagree with your technical analysis, I don't have a trading position in $BA, and I know it's way too early, this is one company that I want to own long term as I believe that $BA will thrive under any and all circumstances. I own it, plan to hold, and will add on the way up. The company is a national treasure, and, except for Airbus, there is no company that in the long run will be able to compete.

The order follows an $18.2 million order for 2026 that was announced earlier this year, the company said.

- Lou: $ALNY is in beast mode! Up considerably but it's still well undervalued IMO. Extremely profitable and terrifically managed. Only discipline keeps me from adding. Thanks to all who mentioned my calling this board's attention to $FTI. I added a tiny bit to my large $BA position. Couldn't resist the drop this morning. Now way overfull in $ARDX and carrying a gain that's making me think about trimming.
- woodman: @Lou $ALNY $FTI $BA $ARDX - I think ARDX continues higher this month and after this month, except for possible gyrations around the 9/25 oral argument on its appeal in the DC Circuit Court of Appeals. Of course, there's no saying when the Court of Appeals will issue its decision, and if it affirms the lower court, it will pullback even though ARDX's own estimates and those of many anaylsts are essentially not counting Xphozah sales at all or minimally. Ibsrela sales are very good and keep getting better.

They make very effective anti drone cannons (sky metal) and more practically tons of artillery and they aren't afraid to build factories in Ukraine where the money and action is. The Russian threat isn't going away anytime soon. Outside of them $ESLT (Israeli) is worth a look to if you like defense companies. $BA operates in an entirely different space since they are aircraft centric.

As a trade, buying ~$130s-140s has worked well. But my fish-finder has always taken me to a different part of the ocean.

- Lou: Haven't posted since March, but I'm still around and lurking as my age, spousal responsibilities and diminished strength and concentration have limited my ability to act quickly enough to trade. I've restructured most of my individually managed portfolio to produce income needed for exorbitantly expensive senior communities for both of us, so my trading is greatly reduced. I'm still trading as the market brings forth instincts that are reminiscent of a race horse when he hears the bugle call to the starting line. I've been accumulating $BA for some time, and this morning I again added to a large position consisting of common shares and various short puts that are now way OTM. Hope all here are well and enjoying the great sites that @Dan has created.

As @Henry stated, the CVR does not indicate who was questioning the fuel switches to cut-off; then shortly thereafter back to RUN. The GE engines would need about 90 seconds to spool back up; no time at that critical phase of flight

- Henry: $BA $GE A mag called The Airflow, which calls itself and aviation news service claims investigators are looking into whether the fuel switches were turned off. There are pics of where the switches are, for those interested. - Henry: $BA $GE no news re: Crash. A parliamentary committee is supposed to meet tomorrow. There was a recent memo that Air India falsified maintenance records on other aircraft.
- mgoodw: @Henry $BA $GE I went to India last year and booked an Air India flight. We tried booking directly w airline but it kept repeatedly rejecting my card bc overseas transaction we assume. So went with Travelocity. When researching it got really great or really bad reviews. Apparently it was govt run and owned but when to -ell bc didn't maintain. Now its privatized, some jets are new and wonderful others still dumpy. I spoke with my Indian neighbor and he said they are terrible and "you will see duct tape holding things together." I saw pics of this and filthy seats online. I cancelled and went with Emirates. I don't think I was supposed to be on that airline.

- Henry: $BA I have been following the Air India crash. Bloomberg reported, but no Indian sources that I can find, that the officials had pilots run the simulator with wheels down and flaps up, and it was not responsible for the crash. Flaps are supposed to be down on take off. There were 2 other Air India incidents in close proximity to the crash. In one, the fuel filter light (possibly indicating fuel contamination and a plugged filter) came on and the pilot uneventfully returned the airport. In the other event, an AI plane lost 900 feet during takeoff in a thunderstorm There was a stick shaker, ground proximity and stall warnings. Afterwards the pilots only reported the stick shaker and they were grounded.
- Henry: $BA the UK is investigated the $SPR deal. Nothing new from India. Boeing said such an investigation was expected but stock is down 1/7%
- Wolf: @Henry $BA $SPR I worked for a contractor for both in a prior life. Both used to be great companies.
- Henry: $BA The word "Sabotage" is getting news headlines. That is simply one possible angle investigators are looking at. As far as we now, there are no indications of that or anyone claiming responsibility. I don't think that explains today's price action.

- Henry: $BA Although no lead investigator has been named, India reports: the government on Thursday announced that critical flight data from the front black box of the plane has been successfully retrieved. On June 25, 2025, the Crash Protection Module (CPM) was safely recovered, and the memory module was accessed and its data downloaded at the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) lab.
