- woodman: @Geewhiz $RYCEY $NVDA - Wrong comparisons in a couple ways. I don't believe those are the correct prices. But using those prices: $1 to $13.5 = 13.5x return. $15 to $166.50 x 11 = 11x return. I'd rather have 13.5x than 11.1x on my investment. Where you get fouled up especially is using the same number of shares for drastically different priced stocks. 50 shares of a $1 stock costs you $50. Quite a small outlay. Whereas, 50 shares of a $15 stock costs you $750. Quite a larger outlay. Naturally, the total amount will be different at the end of the day when the prices of the shares are so different to start but you are comparing 50 shares to 50 shares.
- woodman: @GeeWhiz $RYCEY $NVDA - I replied to your post below in that thread. I think you have it wrong because you are comparing 50 shares to 50 shares of two very differently priced stocks. And with your numbers, you can see RYCEY's 13.5x return is better than NVDA's 11.1x return. See my thought on that below.

I think it also applies to individuals running pass-through businesses. Taxable income will be minimized across the board, terrible for any debt reduction but great for equipment suppliers like $NVDA.

- bill52: @Ben $NVDA Did you happen to just very recently make a trade on NVDA? If so, I've experienced that It can sometimes take a little bit for everything to show back up properly especially on heavy trading. Most times its fast and no issues, but again on heavy volume moments, it delays some. It is very irritating if your trying to square up a bunch of trades and can't see things refresh quickly. They need to throw some more servers on the rack to keep the system juiced up and ready.
