- DrScience: @bigbartabs $DJI Would it were that simple. There are few industrials in the $DJI $DJX. The weighting in the index is led by big dogs $UNH, $GS, $MSFT, $HD and $CAT at 36% of the index. The next 5 add another 22% and include $MCD and $V, then the next 5 add 23% for a total of 75% of the index. The bottom 25% of the index includes $DIS, $NKE, and $VZ. Who thinks our $DJI will charm with animated classics, send shoes to run away faster, or talk them to death? 🤣🤣🤣 BTW... $HON is 15th on the list contributing 3.17%, and $BA is 20th contributing 2.35% to the $DJI

Old Turkey will currently say it is early innings in a bull market so investors should establish a core position and let them run. Trying to swing for small gains and trying to rinse and repeat could be a recipe for underperformance.

- Forexpro: Re: $AMZN Hi, Friends, Bloomberg.com, observing that Amazon Prime subscriptions in the U.S. have flatlined in part due to cheaper competition from $WMT ($98 vs $139 plus a lower threshold for free grocery delivery) reports that my friends in Seattle are negotiating with several carriers to provide free or low-cost ($10/month?) mobile phone service to members. Negotiations are supposedly ongoing with $VZ, $TMUS and $DISH. Not surprised to see that discussions are no longer happening with my $T pals. Not sure what sense this makes even if it comes to fruition in some form, but I'm generally interested in Amazon's shenanigans. $DISH is up nicely pre-market, $T and $TMUS down, $VZ flattish. While it is only a tiny bit longer and wider, what I not is that it is maybe twice as heavy. $VZ is going to credit what I originally paid for the phone. Now is this news true? For years there of been countless anonymous sources stories about $AAPL that have proven to be pessimistically untrue. With an impending world wide recession, it certainly could be true.

The company's previous guidance was results to be at the lower-end of $5.40 to $5.55 per share and the current consensus earnings estimate is $5.41 per share for the year ending December 31, 2022.

- grcjr: $T - #YIELDHOGS - not my normal div stock but one I've held long term. Went xdiv today. 5.32% Yield Approaching one year high. Earnings have been slipping down a bit. I'm watching to see what will happen post divx. Not the day I would nibble more. It is a long term hold. I wonder how the aggressive promotions are affecting $T, $VZ, others.
