- Henry: $AJG I bought it on day 3 after a downgrade. It headed back up to it's previous trading range, but then with pending earning I sold it. Had I been watching it dipped to below my original buy price this am. RBC raised PT, Keefe lowered it. I don't understand the insurance biz well enough to an insurance broker would be losing money.
- Motorman: @Henry $AJG Nice move on the sell before ER. Take profits and run.
- Henry: @BarryC I'm feeling we are over extended. The Big 6 (TSLA is out) have continued to go up and you could add a few more chip stocks to that. The small caps haven't had their predicted bounce. I jettisoned $PSN and a bounce trade in $AJG before earnings and $RBLX the day before that. My plan is not to have a bunch of stocks that I have chased at the top, when a correction hits.

- sierramp: $AJG I've posted on this insurance company in the past but nothing is coming up on a search. They acquired a friend's insurance company 1 year ago which got it on my radar at that time. He agreed - for a very impressive sum - to stay on for a year to ensure a smooth transition and growing business. I had Thanksgiving dinner with his family and one of his employees who is staying on. My friend retired Friday. It's a very good company. I added on today's PB to the 50D

- debeers: $AJG-Insurance Broker. More than a couple of formerly large insurance companies have pulled out of Cali because of fire, flood,. and general structural mismanagement of infra here. Enter AJG a brokerage meaning no loyalty to one co. They are blessed with many markets to shop risks. Apparently this fact hasn't been lost on Citi which takes its target to 264 or Raymond james who takes their target to 265.What i personally like about AJG( they having been a former client of mine) is that they are ruthless.LONG

- debeers: @Lou $AJG -Removing 2 large specialt6y insurance companies gives a brokerage amazing advantages in property casualty here. Bottom line is that i see no moves in Cali or anywhere else that i can see that can abate fires, floods, hurricanes etc.

This insurance company has been acquiring other insurance companies including that of a friend of mine. They kept him (the owner) on for a one year contract with a hefty bonus if he met targets which wasn't hard to do. I don't know if they have done that with other acquisitions. It has been a successful move for them.

- sierramp: Started position in $AJG after basing, small PB, today is day 2 off the PB. Excellent reputation, they have been in acquisition mode. I have a friend that owned his insurance company for many years and recently sold to $AJG. He wouldn't have sold to a lesser company. They kept him on with a monster bonus if he grows the business in 1 year. They kept the other key employees on as well.

- debeers: $BX/$FSLR/$MOS/$NTR/$OXY -50 50 with the $MTDR/ $NTR/ $TSLA- i think the selling is done and i don't think Musk is foolish enough to go after his shareholders twice. No position in $TWTR but i think he'll have to pay at least 50. i like $AJG a lot but the biggest beneficiary of interest rates lower than expected is $BX-on the large bank side and probably either Regions financial or $SIVB on the re4gional side. $SIVB picked up a genius in wealth management but for today just $BX.
