He is not saying those two specific areas will necessarily be lower.
- Henry: @bigbartabs I seem to be missing the original post, by X? X can we call you something other than X? Insurance stocks had a bad day. Sometime ago a broker told me he was very concerned about insurance stocks and mentioned $CB and it's office real estate exposure. Since that conversation it moved up about $60. Today it broke the 10 week moving average and $ALL $PGR $MET $CB all had big red candles. As I look at the chart all had much lower than average volume. As I posted earlier, I bailed on $CB. I was up 20% in 8 months and best of all it was in my IRA.

Recent partnership with Carvana. Big volume today. You might have something, but it looks like bottom picking to me. If you look at Volume at Price, the horizontal bars on the price graph, There is less pain, if it can get above today's high.

Not the stop loss side of things, I'm very disciplined, but managing trades once they're in-the-money. Here's a stock I really like fundamentally and I like the daily & weekly consolidation that's been going on, so I bought it in 2 tranches. I held it through earnings (I intentionally took this risk on), and its paid off. I'm up 1.3 x my initial risk now, so feeling urges to take some off the table, but I really want to be a longer term trend follower and I see potential in the upside basis the weekly picture. How would you manage this trade and how / where would you build the position assuming you only had half the total risk on?

Insurance stocks are under accumulation. $TRV is another stock to watch. $CNI -- rails have been really strong. CNI isn't at a good entry point. But if you own it...hold it! $GOOG -- working on a sloppy cup & handle. At the top of the range now, but might be moving higher and testing highs. This what Janney says about it; Allstate announced May cat losses were $403 mn (15.1 pts for the month) vs. our estimate of $284 mn (10.7 pts). Accordingly, we are reducing our quarterly estimate to $0.99 from $1.09 (Consensus: $1.24) and our full year estimate to $5.65 from $5.75 (Consensus: $6.22). These revisions reflect approximately $.21 of higher cat loss assumption, partially offset by a bit better underlying underwriting assumed in light of Progressive's (PGR: $44.41 - Buy) strong underlying quarter-to-date results. We estimate an underlying improvement of 190 bps, up from our previous estimate of 110 bps. We continue to rate ALL shares Buy. No trading in premarket yet

- Hank1: @Bridget $ALL ... one of my favs. 1st quarter earnings beat big (1.64 vs 1.10 estimated) and the i think 104 is in the cards if they continue to execute over the next year. Nice volume this week as it continues to break out of a cup and handle.
