  • Nepenthe: @bigbartabs $DT Yeah, prior to the open I thought the portfolio would be as golden as your hills. Though mostly playing with 3xETFs, thanks to your insights about outperforming the market, I added to $RIOT (oops), $CRM (so far, okay) and almost to $DT (seems to be rebounding a tad), but mostly got smacked around by my little spec stock $AQMS, due to one of those inconvenient common stock offerings (did add though at the low). You might be right about the market, and I cut back on some $TNA, $SOXL and $LABU, and will keep a close eye on $TQQQ and $SPXL Nonetheless, it's been a golden year and one of these days you'll get that burger and beer I promised years ago.   • Nepenthe: $AQMS Before departing for the happy hour weekend, I noticed my little "spec" stock was saving my other positions today. Perhaps a trend change after a lengthy downward spiral. Strange how that happens. I know little about this company other than it is located in the same industrial park as Tesla's plant outside Reno, and has an "innovative" technology for recycling lithium batteries. Make of it what you will. Cheers for beers.

  • Nepenthe: @shoredriver $AQMS Yep, it certainly can be if one makes it so. I'm up only 40% since 2/28, and hung around today to sell quite a tranche at 1.40, it's high of the day. Quite the waste of time but now I can safely enjoy my free time with a more expensive happy hour. Cheers.

  • jr3345: $AQMS Aqua Metals (AQMS), a battery metal recycling company, said Wednesday it will invest $2 million in lithium-ion battery recycling company LINICO Corp. The company will acquire 10% of LiNiCo shares.
  • Nepenthe: $AQMS Purely a spec trade. Make your own assessment. That said, something's going on after it received a "US Patent Issued to Aqua Metals on July 2 for "Devices and method for smelterless recycling of lead acid batteries" (California Inventor)" last week. It spiked, fell back but volume's increasing. Last time it fell this low, 1.50 or so, within three months it was at 4. I'm not saying that's going to happen--for all I know it could be at zero soon--and frankly I missed that spike but I now have a "spec" position. Not for the faint of heart or mind or weak-kneed. That's it. Cheers.
  • issues: Looking over the specs I see these hopefuls: $RUBI $BELFB $ARPO $AQMS $CORT $ARWR. Anyone have any of these - raise your hands. NP Oh forgot this one pays 7% div $BANX! I got a case of the "I couldn't help its" and bought a small position of 50 shares of RUBI (at this high top).
  • Nepenthe: $AQMS Nice little run. Don't know why. It escaped my radar; thought I had an alert on it. Seems to like the 20ma. NP, maybe a little late--do you think?--but the weekly looks inviting. Definitely a "spec" stock. Cheers.

  • Nepenthe: $AQMS Another purely speculative trade, and not for the faint of heart, Aquamess. Had a secondary last week, after which the stock sold off but rebounded quite nicely from the offering price of 2.77 (I believe). Looking for it to break above 200ma, which shows signs of sinking below the ever ascending 50ma, not that technicals matter that much with this one, before adding. Volume/interest does seem to be picking up the last couple of months for this one. But buyer beware!

Also, the written word can sometimes be misinterpreted...and some people (myself included) can be a bit sloppy in how they write things -- wanting to get the point across but not thinking about any potential for confusion as to meaning.
