- woodman: $PENN - broke out, up through the 200d, then pulled back a little below it, now phase 3 move back up through it. I'm long this one. But similar looks for many in the #ResortsandCasinos stocks. Some have progressed more (or much more) with this move, but the entire sector is working. Others in the industry: $LVS $WYNN $MLCO $PENN $MTN $MGM $BYD $HGV $RRR $MCRI $FLL ($BALY and $CZR trying to get up thru the 200d)
- champ: All will be #Bounce-Candidates, at some point..... $CZR, down 9.4% and is at $37.62.... $MGM $WYNN $PENN $RRR $BYD $LVS $BALY....and also $DKNG, which doesn't own any Casinos......looks like Investors are #rotating-out of Casinos and I have NP's, however I will be watching for Entries, like I posted, at some point. ........This is a great time.... to Not have any $$$ in these stocks.....and I'm sorry that these investors are being #force-out....however these stocks will have entries, so let's have Alerts set....and we all need to #post-Entries, if we see any of them starting to make a slow U-turn, a move in the right direction. If we only knew when.....Red would turn Green, however for now, this Stop-light is stuck on Red.

- DAN: Consider closing out the $BYD trade -- earnings after the close. Cost basis in this trade is 65.90. The trade is up just slightly and the chart looks very solid, but holding a trade that's essentially flat over earnings is just gambling and hoping things work out. There's no place in trading for either gambling...or hoping. Dan

- champ: $SPY...I'm currently working 29 stocks that are on pre-earning moves...and I'm also holding 12 other positions that have already reported their earnings. For tomorrow I only have 2 stocks that will be reporting their earnings after the close, $LBRT and $BYD. Wednesday I have 4 stocks. Thursday I have 2. If I'm holding a stock that will be reporting earnings before the open, I work that stock as if it was going to report the day before, as if it was after the close, the day before. ... I'm repositioning daily when needed and I didn't have any stocks that reported today. Plus I do take many stocks down before they report,...partial or full. However I took full profits off of $TSLA today... because I can always buy it back if I want, plus I also had a Day-Trade working on TSLA today.

Earnings are 10/26 and I see several positive articles on Yahoo Finance and E*Trade. Some suggest a 40% upside move is in the cards. It seems expectations are for a good report. I'm thinking the risk of a downside move are greater than the potential reward. Is the plan to hold over earnings or sell into a pre-earnings move higher?
- seank: @gatordave1 $BYD Not Dan, but he almost never recommends holding over earnings if you don’t have a substantial cushion, or if you are a long-term holder of the stock.

DAN: Good morning. We are seeing a rebound this morning off of the higher low that I mentioned yesterday. I think the big reason is strong numbers (and positive market reaction) from the financials. And this gives us some opportunities.

- DAN: $MGM -- Up 7.6% today. Credit Suisse bumped its price target from 33 up to 68. (Since the stock was trading at 45 when they raised the price target, I'd say this falls into the "better late than never" category. Or, put another way, a CS client says, "Um, and this is what I'm paying you for?" Pretty nice jump though. On another note, I'm putting $BYD on the active trade list. Earnings on 10/26, but it's at a low risk entry and we'll see if we can make some money on it.

- champ: @DAN ...on $BYD....I have size working, so my next decision will be made at some point today...the only and last upgrade that I saw was by $WFC on 9/15, with an Overweight rating, with a price target at $92, now I'm expecting other upgrades to follow....and my plan was, that I will be holding a position into their earnings.. on 10/26/after.
- wineinquirer: $GNRC $BYD Draw a box around the consolidation July-present and April-June. Both suffer from no edge during these periods and earnings 10/28 adds further risk. Dicey markets right now so entry error won't be saved by a strong mkt.........IMHO. Better going to Vegas or better yet, add @Dan rec this am of $BYD in Active Trade List.

They should beat and guide even higher. As usual, I always expect zig-zags.

I'm keeping watch for a buy back, and bought a small bit back to keep my attention. This could be a short flag with a next move up, or a longer cup handle. Time will tell.

I used to be able to park my boat, with my Winnebago, in a small space, even after a few beers. Always on the first try. .....However in the markets, I always expect zig-zags, for sure...and the zags aren't all that bad, if you have working capitol, always need $$$$, in order to hold- risk and even more $$$.. for building even more risk, plus investors can't hold swings, with-out back-up $$$'s, just can't work properly, without cash reverses, need working capitol or #Nothing works.

- Ajax4Hire: @champ $MGM $BYD $WYNN Yes, I noted that starting last Tue,Sep14th; $WYNN,$LVS Las Vegas hotels took a major dump; but $CZR,$MGM, also Las Vegas hotels did not. Seems to be due to China exposure(or not). $LVS seems to have a $36 floor from Thu,Aug19th, confirmed Wed,Sep15th. $WYNN showing a major recovery today contrary to everything else. I would not bet on a successful execution of a China recovery. Centrally Planned economy like micro-managing every muscle in your body; No ability to move forward, spending all time/energy controlling every detail. Worse, China now considers $WYNN,$LVS interlopers like China did last month with Education companies. Remember, $0-zero is the true floor.

But I believe that once again above the 50-day average, they will follow the other casinos in Vegas. That might be a good time for a short to midterm trade.
