- woodman: $DFH continues to hold up well. It hasn't closed below the 50d since early January, and has led the residential construction stocks all year. $HOV (no.2) and $BZH (no. 3) round out the top 3 YTD.
- woodman: In the housing space, $HOV, which I have loved all year, has put its pullback in the rearview mirror in high fashion as it continues to breakout up through resistance. And $BZH, which I have been mentioning recently and is another great performer this year, is still offering a good entry after a fairly substantial pullback.
- woodman: @champ $HOV $LGIH - Wouldn't you know it. I sold $HOV a couple weeks ago or so with the intention of buying it back. I looked at it yesterday, but didn't buy it. It reported this morning. I bought some $BZH.

I know here in Ohio since Intel announced the building of a new facility outside Johnstown/New Albany area, home and land prices have esculated. Homes are being built like crazy. A 75 acre farm near Johnstown just sold for 18 million plus. That farmer had his best year yet. Turning it into a housing division. Property values are going through the roof.

They just reported their monthly New Home #closings for the month of January,...that came in at 650. They selling in all the right locations and they currently have 106 active selling communities and that number of New communities is growing monthly. ~~~ OK....that the pre-set-up on this stock....this is not really New info because I have 100's of posts in the Forum over years on this stock, take look. I have No-Edge, I'm just holding investment position in this sector....and I know when all the names in this sector will be reporting, their earnings....and the ones that have reported were outstanding,...take a look because their is a list,...$DHI reported, along with others like $BZH....plus others will also be reporting...take a look....

With the SALT deduction limited to $10,000, I'm paying a lot to live in California. I'd prefer socialism, where all states share my burden, including the no-tax states. Seems fair to me. ;-) If that does happen, I think you'll see a lot more homebuilding in California and other high tax states.

However for me....I just don't know what is going to happen tomorrow......and I'm also holding $BZH and I will continue to hold both....and I like just about all the names in the sector but I haven't done any work on $KBH...Good Luck!.

They were up 26% in July and a huge 48% up in August. I have a position and the 52-week high was $17.23. This stock has room, it will be moving back-up. ......Sure looks like this stock has Entry-Timing....

$AVTR -- Breakout? Not quite. Scott mentioned this in the forum. ... - champ: $HOV, is also another Home Builder and they just confirmed that they will be reporting earnings on 9/3/before. This is the sector % leader and is up 54% in the last 30 days. $HOV, this stock is hiding under the radar screen and it is not even in any ETF's in this sector. ......$BZH, is up 3.6% today, this is a lagger, in the sector and the February high was at $17.23 and I'm also in this one from below. ......$XHB and $ITB, all of these type of names are working in the Housing sector, take a look at the winners.
