- scottrades: @Jwhite I'd look at a close below 14.30 as a stop. I guess you could look at 15 as a short term trade target. Don't know where you bought, or how long you've been in the stock. Also, please use a $ before your ticker, so we can search for it and see if anyone else is trading it. Ex: $DOC

By 2025 it is said the last round of Boomers reaches retirement age, the number of Americans 65+ will climb more than 71 million., up 41 million in 2011, a 73% increase according to Census Bureau. Debra Cafaro CEO of $VTR said population over 75 million increases 70 million between 2020--2025. Healthcare healthy Reits to consider for income: 1. $VTR Yield 5.38% Payout 78%; 2. $LTC Y 5.09% PO 76%; 3. $HTA 4.28% PO 75%; 4 $DOC 5.36%
- jan2138: @barbjim12 $HTA $DOC $MPW I am not familiar with any of these tickers so, I really can't comment intelligently. I have commented on what I think about higher rates ant the effect on mtg. reits and BDC's. My guess is that my thoughts on those would apply to reits in general but each ticker has a different management team and some are better than others at dealing with interest rate fluctuations. Thus, not knowing anything about the basics of any of these, I can't offer an opinion. I am encouraged by the "low" yields they offer and wait anxiously for the time when $CSAL, a reit, share price rises to a level where the yield is down to 4-5% =:+))
- barbjim12: Jan2138 Would appreciate your take on Medical REITS, I own $HTA, $DOC, and $MPW for awhile. I am concerned with the Fed's rate hikes affecting their price going forward. Thanks in advance.
- jltrader1: $DOC, $WEC, $VTR, $HTA- I don't post much but these charts are up-trending. Some weekend ideas. These stocks are in a squeeze. $DOC pays 4.2%, $WEC pays 3.0%, $VTR pays 4.0%, $HTA pays 3.6% dividend. Weekly charts are all in up trends. Thoughts are welcome. Just a beginner here.
