  • Edgarzb: $NWBO @erdruido The news we are waiting for on DCvax-L is coming from an independent committee so mid feb is a guesstimate and the Abstract on the DCVax Direct is being headed by $MD Andersen, so the timely release of the info is on not them although it is expected "SOON". I think many skeptics will turn once credible results are released and that could propell the stock higher. I also recently posted that alomg with several other large institutions, Goldman Sachs has started a 620,000+ position in the stock an that is all endorsement I need to continue to hold for higher levels. The announcement on results is on the independent committee so it isn't a reflection on NWBO. I agree with you on this abstract announcement submitted. She also said that $MD Anderson will be the lead on that abstract. I am looking forward to it.

  • Lou: $MGM - not unexpected but big long term news yesterday as $MD awarded a casino license to a great and spectacular DC suburban location. When built the fabulous casino will rival any in Las Vegas and be within 15 minutes to a half hour from downtown DC and most Maryland and Virginia DC suburbs. Won't be completed for 2 to 3 years but augurs well for the future. I've been building long position (and, as always, short puts) since March. It is sold in 5 mg oval tablets available as Melatonin Ultra on $AMZN - I cut them in half and that's more than enough. Obesity in America is an addiction, an opioid addiction. Read the book Wheat Belly. To go into the story even further autoimmune disease, i.e. Celiac Disease, is thought to be a gut disease or intolerance to something we eat. In Celiac Disease we know it's Gluten. Wheat also has glidian which is the part that acts like and opioid and makes the body desire and crave it. You will go into withdrawal without. I could go on on but just read the book if you want more information. If you need a doctor that will practice this look for functional medicine by an $MD or DO.

Safety Concern Halts Study of $SGEN Lymphoma Drug --> http://www.thestreet.com/story/11961384/1/safety-concern-halts-study-of-seattle-genetics-lymphoma-drug.html # I guess there was a story Friday that one of the lead investigators for lymphoma drug candidate had stopped his study due to liver toxicity problems - so the stock is down almost 8% from Friday .... This is bad news ....when the lead investigator does the talking and the company did not react ...for 3 days .... This $MD had to be telling $SGEN this for a several days at least .. The good news is that this company has an incredible number of partnerships with it's $ADC technology .... management needs to step up $NOW and get on top of all this or thier credibility will be destroyed...

For those of who I spoke with at the Picnic, this is the small bio tech company that I mentioned. $NWBO has initiated its DCVax(R)-Direct Phase I/II Trial for all solid tumors cancers. $MD Anderson is the 1st site. Other sites in the US and UK to follow. I'm heading for my cruise this afternoon, but any bio tech junkies out there should follow this name. I believe it has enormous potential.   • bisherwood: @Stelios-Regarding Obamacare-I have been part of a 500+ doctor group (not Kaiser) linked to a large hospital system so we have a full $IT dept and a staff of people who's only job is to figure out how to comply with the electronic med record requirements. That being said, it is still becoming more and more of a pain. The nightmarish intrusion is awe inspiring and incredibly time consuming. I have significantly changed the new patients that I accept (only ppo at this point). I have no idea how a small $MD office could survive in this current climate and it's only going to get worse. My suggestion to your wife is to join a large group.
  • rczar: Lunch Time....Well I was sitting here and started to build a hunger. Looking into the fridge, and noticing that Brunch would be in order. Not wanting to Fuss with a lot of cooking, I peered into the freezer to see what emergency provisions were there. With Ziggy @ my side, we decided that a 1/2 dozen frozen White Castle Cheeseburgers w/reconstituted onions. What ever the hell that is. After sliding these down and Ziggy growling for more, we did another search. Ah Hah ! Frozen creamed chipped beef, so heated it up on 4 slices of buttered toast, and we are both in heaven and satisfied. Or at least I am. Takes me back to my Roots in Detroit. To further celebrate a LARGE glass of $MD 20 and now for more market action. Bon Appetite gang !

It's the way $MD will handle taxes/budget short falls I presume. Others may follow suit. The real money maker will be the reinstatement of online gambling - that is huge profits for the Casino's and States that figure out how to get tax revenue from the legal activity. Being a poker play er myself, I would not mind Poker being back online, it provides the outlet of the gambler in me.

  • Lou: $ACAS, $NRF - I hope all survived without major problems. Am very concerned about family and friends in $NYC area. Here in Bethesda $MD we survived without any problems. $ACAS reported yesterday - $NAV is now 17.39, up .77 from last Q. Buybacks continue and $Q results met all projections. Check out the press release and watch for upgrades after conference call tomorrow. $NRF announcing earnings on Thursday before market opens and I expect a bump in price as I expect good earnings and a #dividend increase. Really believe that Wednesday will present a buying opportunity - that's just my personal opinion, not a guaranty. I'm not adding as I have way more than enough. I'm very long in both names. @Lou

  • ginny: $AAPL @ Liz That is why I ontonue to believe in $AAPL . They know how to market and hook a whole generation of new users. My 1 year old grandchild uses an iPad to draw and move pictures around. A school district in $MD just bought 2000 iPads for their students because they have to update school books every 10 years. They have a cheaper and more cool alternative. Kids have their iPads and download updated books and it is cheaper then purchasing new books. $AAPL not only continues to innovate but they have the best marketing strategy on earth. Long and adding on pullbacks.

That being said, I am afraid of earnings miss. $VZ said they have increased margins because of less iPhone activations 60M dollar settlement to China this quarter IPad did not go on sale in China until 7/20 however I read an article that they are selling for $1100.00. I wonder how many rich Chinese did not already buy on the black market. @Dan on $FM said he was in the $HK AAPL store last month and there were more blue shirts that customers. I do not have an iPhone yet, I am waiting for the new version. $AAPL has a lawsuit pending with $VHC On the other hand $AAPL is working with schools to replace books with iPads.   • eTradeBaby: Good Morning - that's freaky, I live in $MD and have not checked my ticket. Now I really don't want to check it :D I'm also in an office pool which have the potential to reek havoc, but I figure if I did not get in, the group would win and I'd be stuck with the director's job. Then if I got the director's job, I'd turn the dept into a trading desk, then the company would lose millions in a scandalous trade of #shorting $AAPL and going long RIMM with the proceeds :D (I am kidding about that trade btw) So bottom line, Department lotto pools reek with havoc, do not attempt this at home. I am serious about living in $MD and not checking my ticket. Now where did I place that darn thing anyway....

  • Henry: $LULU I didn't see the need to buy this in premarket. However it always pays to keep a close eye on jojo. I did have a hunch that after the first 5 min of trading, it wasn't going to gap and crap and the market was going to reverse course. Bought some Dec calls. Then #Greece happened. Stopped watching the market and took a look after the close and I'm in the green! Of course all that will change if Europe implodes this weekend. It has finally stopped raining in the Mid Atlantic and the sun is out. My sump pump pauses 10 sec before the next cycle. Any place that floods during extremely heavy rains has flooded in $MD and eastern PA and probably all points north between I-81 and I-95.

  • Henry: $XOM The court in $MD has released partial data on punitive damages in the gas station leak case. Half a billion in compensatory damages were awarded 2 days ago. The jury individualized the multiplier for each of 160 plaintiffs. Data has been released for 1/4 of those cases and punitive damages so far are 360 mil. so easily the total cost could be 1.5 bil In the premarket, bids are getting a little lower, but not significant. If I had not signed up as a senior in medical school I would have not had to serve because the draft ended. I would have missed out on the opportunity to meet and work with the finest men and women I have met. This was post-Vietnam and coming from the Boston-New York corridor I found that real soldiers were not the idiots portrayed in the Boston Globe and $NY Times.
