  • BocaRick: $ORA $98.36 COTD....tough chart
  • scottrades: @BocaRick $ORA Just got the alert as well. Bit of a wide spread.
  • DAN: @scottrades $ORA Breakouts are not working. Don't force trades. They will cost you money.
  • DAN: ...
$ORA -- In this market, it is just too soon to be buying this here.
    $FLNC -- Watch this. Alert $19.50
$NOC -- Breakout from squeeze. Pointed this out in the forum -- gap and crap. Just another failed breakout.
    $FSLR -- Starting another move higher ...
  • scottrades: $ORA Trades a bit wide but nice base.
  • scottto_2: $ORA - Affected by short seller's playbook Feb/Mar. Looks like low risk entry for those with an eye to the future. Decent short interest to add bids if starts rising as well. #WhaleClub is pondering a bit of this Krill.
  • Rberrier123: I suggest watching $ORA. Looks like institutional investors are buying this "Blue wave" stock. According to a prof at the MIT energy lab, the West Coast could get 25% of its energy needs with geothermal using existing technology, without risk of forest fire or air pollution.
  • Rberrier123: $ORA continues to run. Hold from below at 72. Can't buy here, but watching opportunity to add.
  • Rberrier123: I bought $ORA on the breakout following the Pres debate. Geothermal has a huge potential particularly in the Western states. The MIT Energy Lab says it could provide 24% of the energy needed in the Western states. A Biden administration could give geothermal lots of support. Too high to buy now, but might be a stock to follow.
  • tnt: $ORA Bullish Falling Wedge Buying long here Checks the #ESG box https://www.tradingview.com/chart/ORA/g6Rh9zeZ-ORA-Bullish-Falling-Wedge-Buying-long-here-ESG/
  • Reif99: A whole bunch of failed breakouts today. A couple that have worked (so far) $ELP, $SITC, $SPAR and $ORA. I'm in $SUM and $COST (rejected so far) and I had $AKAM, $EW, $BRO and $PRFT on the watch list but they couldn't hold the new highs.
  • tuffee3: #Dan $ORA $CSIQ $AQN DO you have an opinion on ahy of these stocks?
  • DAN: @tuffee3 $ORA $CSIQ $AQN #Dan Hi tuffee3. I really don't have much of an opinion on them because they're not stocks that I follow. CSIQ, as a solar stock, always has the potential to move big, but there's no real setup here, yet. AQN pays a good dividend, but I don't follow the company. ORA is showing some promise...but it's still in a downtrend.
  • tejas7: $ORA out of 6 month of consolidation. Before that it had a good uptrend
  • bRobert: @tejas7 $ORA The. chart brings a tear to my eye. Very bullish weekly and monthly charts portend higher prices. Rennaisance Technology is an owner. Nice pick
  • gwenzee: $ORA $IX Orix is taking a 22% stake in ORA for $57/share. Orix trades at about 38K shares/day. ORIX is headquartered in Tokyo.
  • gwenzee: $ORA All time high. Good stair-stepping stock. Up, rest, up, rest, etc. etc. Anyone else in this one?
  • gwenzee: $ORA Cowen & Co. rated ORA as outperform and PT OF $67. May be one to watch.
  • gwenzee: #Dan $ORA Engaged in geothermal and recovered energy power business worldwide. One of largest geothermal power plants commenced commercial operation 3/21. Why I like it: RSI is 61, MACD crossover, above all major avgs. incl. the T-line. Concerns: low vol and dbl. top at $59.60. I am up over 3% in 2 1/2 days. I'll take that any day. I don't think you have ever covered this stock.
  • DAN: @gwenzee $ORA #Dan I'll look at it tonight, gwenzee. Nice uptrend. 59 resistance.
  • debeers: @DAN $ORA #Dan -You might want to group the stocks in E&C

  • Miki: $TEVA simply its out of the Emerging markets where its was a big weight in % of the index into Developed markets where it has a much smaller weight so passive ETFs need to change holdings on the $D - Day according to relative weights in the index they are holding. The flow of active "free"/ active money invested in the Developed countries into the other Israeli companies also traded in NYSE like $PRGO CEL $MLNX CHK $ORA EZCH $AUDC GIVN $NICE and others should hold an opportunity as investment in European countries looks less attractive nowadays. M
  • bullmoose: $ORA # @DAN has been talking about nuclear stocks. Ormat Technologies (ORA) builds nuclear power plants. They are making a nice bounce off a heavy volume washout low. It's a ticker to keep an eye on. I'm waiting for a pullback to establish a higher low before looking to purchase.
  • dr.orangejuicer: $ORA - As far as I can tell, this is a geothermal stock. Very different from nuclear. Ormat is the industry leader in geothermal plants, they also do some stuff with energy recovery in industrial plants. Geothermal is an interesting space in its own right though. Cost is comparable to coal/nat gas and the technology is relatively clean.
  • debrup: Breakouts, I noticed the same thing, $ORA is an example of a clean break out and a pull back into congestion. Instead of getting stopped out like before on $AGU and $D, I now buy the pull backs instead of the breakouts. Any other examples?
  • MoSo: $AMSC - on and off I've been in my fav "alt energy" stocks - $AMSC, $ITRI, $JCI, $ABB, $NWPX (oooo, sold that at the right time), VWSYF.PK, $FSYS, $CPST, $ENS, AONE, $HTM, $ORA, BQE.TO, NWFIF.PK, $CREE, ERII. I pared that list down to $JCI, $CREE and ITRI. I started investing in these before I discovered @Dan, and some of my entries and exits were spectacularly good and many were spectacularly bad. I had more stocks than I can keep track of - around 12-15 is my limit for thoroughly keeping up with price, fundamentals, sector.
  • MoSo: $AMSC - I think it's a great company, but the stock right now is not looking buy-errific. It WAS in an upward wedge, but it's broken down out of it. I have a "buy watch" alert (as opposed to a BUY alert) at around 33 for it. My "alt energy" portfolio is $AMSC, SPWRA, $NWPX, $JCI, AONE, $SI, $ABB, $MXWL, $ORA, NGLPF - I hold most of those (though I'm out of $AMSC right now).
  • Ross_Q: CLNE: Has pulled back about 18% right 200dma, with rising oil and falling dollar the clean energy trade has been ramping. Any comments appreciated: I like $STP and $CLNE the best entry wise other with good relative strength: $ORA (needs to pullback another 3bucks for me), APWR, $TSL, FSLR.
