  • Onthemark: @DavidK $QXO Are you still in $FTAI. Took a starter today. Read that the COO bought $1M and the CEO bought $312K on 11/13. They have a pretty good track record on their purchases.

Need to go out further and buy more . Give the comp y time to execute their roll up agenda of smaller mom and pop building supply stores. They did buy Beacon roofing which is a great strategy. People need roofs in all types of economic cycles . Better when construction industry is on the upswing .

I was contemplating getting in $NAIL but also own some $QXO which is tied to construction industry but best thing about QXO is the Beacon Roofing Company they purchased . Hurricane season coming ( some might blame it on global warming but I refrain from commenting ) and people repair their roofs regardless of Fed and % rates . Plus proven ceo with track record of building huge wealth. Anyway , I am not convinced of market flying higher . It’s at a high boil now . I see $QQQ selling off and maybe some rotation into saner priced stocks. But what the fk do I know other than Ga Bulldogs pulled a win out of their ass on Saturday.

I had written the Dawgs off but they hung in there . Lots of work to do on the defensive side of the ball for Ga. D backs got burned and I called it . The old Nick Saban game plan. Throw the ball deep and hope for a catch or a flag. Tennessee followed it to a T but it wasn’t enough for those Rocky top chokers .

Go take over Mexico and eradicate the Drug cartels . They won’t because too many politicians are on the cartels payroll one way or the other .

I bought puts on$IWM yesterday to protect a few longs ( $QXO $AQST $$BMRN calls ) jobs report has to mean something to markets . Price levels of all markets should more than reflect any hope of rate cuts . Seen this movie before . Wake up one day and down 2-4 %

  • kenb: $QXO up 6% on an analyst call. CEO Brad Jacobs is leading another roll-up strategy, this time for building supply companies. Think $URI and $XPO if you are not sure of who he is. Morgan Stanley analyst Christopher Snyder initiates coverage on QXO (NYSE:QXO) with a Overweight rating and announces Price Target of $35.

  • Henry: @RGD7 $QXO It was a $280+ stock, dropped like a stone and was flat for 2 years. The daily chart looks like one of the nuke charts. I figured they must be a biotech or tech company, no they manufacture roofing. I would need to know what's going on with this company that they have a chart like that.
  • Bert953: @Henry $QXO I had my roof replace last year for $16k. Of course one of the selling points was that roofing materials come from Canada and that tariffs would cause a price spike. Of course prices in general rarely go down. Embrace the horror. Looking at the news this morn, one article about the Trump tax bill said that the bill would mostly benefit the wealthy while shafting lower income earners. Surprise, surprise, surprise! They always pay more and get less. Always been that way, and not gonna change anytime soon.

  • Henry: @Bert953 $QXO It's not clear to me that there is going to be a housing boom. I did not know shingles came from Canada. That could explain the daily chart.
  • kenb: @RGD7 $QXO I have a profitable position in this. You can't get an idea of the story from the chart since it was a reverse merger to get listed. Do some research to understand what the company is. It's CEO, Brad Jacobs (think $XPO), is attempting to do a roll-up company like he did with $XPO, though in building supplies, and just acquired Beacon Roofing as his first acquisition. Actually, his first roll-up was $URI. For me, this is a long-term investment.
