  • rjk: @jan2138 $NMFC $SCM Good to see you back in the forum, hope you are feeling well. Wondering if you have an opinion on $SCM. Chart looks interesting, cup & handle forming inside long-term ascending triangle near AT highs. I don't feel competent to analyze fundamentals. Thanks!
  • jan2138: @rjk $SCM I took a look at it as I was not familiar with it. Dividend record looks good as they have been paying the .1133 monthly for quite some time now. For the first 3 quarters of 2018, NAV moved up, i.e. $13.93 for Q-1; $14.07 for Q-2 and $14.29 for Q-3. They will not be reporting for Q-4 until 3/6/19. Core NII was .33 for Q-2 and .39 for Q-3. They did not mention Core NII for Q-1 preferring to report NII plus realized gains. Not sure why they did this. The 9.40% yield is attractive, and it is trading at a slight premium to NAV which ok and expected after the significant move up from 12/24/18, i.e. 24%. I'd be reluctant to get involved here with earnings coming up soon and it close to the 52 week high. It is an interesting BDC and worth keeping on your radar.
