- maracom: Good morning all! I put my $NVDA Dec 460/450 bear call spread back on now that earnings has passed with a flat response. My logic is if slowing guidance is enough to overcome blowing out the revenue expectations, then it seems like institutions are foreseeing less rapid growth which therefore lowers the growth premium, but we do have the christmas rally coming up so I may be wrong again. $GLD is holding it's gap despite a bounce in the dollar today. $XLE back under pressure today. Keep an eye on Gold and $GLD is opening back above the 200 Day MA. $GDX has been perky as well. Stocks like $WPM $PAAS $GOLD $NEM $FNV and $AEM have come sharply off the lows but I think are worth watching.

- maracom: @DavidK $GLD @DavidK $GLD I have the same overall outlook as @Ray. I hold $NEM in my #LTA because it pays decent dividends to wait, of which there is A LOT of waiting, and I'll often sell covered calls to generate more income. I trade $SLV $NUGT $WPM $GFI as my main trading vehicles when precious metals start to look spicy (they are NOT at the moment, especially with the dollar rallying). The main reason to own it is as a geopolitical hedge (rather than an inflation hedge, as gold historically is uncorrelated with dollar inflation during early inflation cycles, but it catches up towards the end of the cycles as all hell breaks loose geopolitically). I'm a secular bull on copper and #wheel $FCX in my #LTA for this purpose as well.

Added $FCX, held the $38 level. $SLV doing good work. $NEM still in a downtrend, at lower bound trendline support but $GLD looking constructive - maracom: Good morning all! Have been absent for the past couple weeks because we bought and are remodeling a property, so stocks have been on the back burner. Have been selling into this rally and currently sit at 60% cash. #Trading: Still bullish energy, long $UNG $URA. Have a $NVDA 480/490 bear call spread on, might close it for break even ahead of earnings depending on how the morning pop goes. #LTA: Sold $SCHW after earnings for a 25% gain, pullback/gap fill suggests another regional banking issue remains on the horizon, watching. - maracom: Pulling apart the top 10 components of the $GDX that are tradable in the US, the best performers that are approaching all time highs are: $FNV $WPM $GFI. The large miners $NEM and $GOLD are lagging compared to the midcap miners. The other midcap miners that are still playing catchup are: $PAAS $NCMGY $AU. $PAAS is also the largest holding in $GDXJ. The first three are too hot for me to handle right now, all greater than 25% away from the 50sma, but if the #gold move is real $NEM and $GOLD still have plenty of room to catch up. I'm selling a cash secured Apr $50 put to #wheel $NEM, and I'm taking a small starter in $GOLD as a mental health buy. Will watch the leaders for signs of a pullback to add.

I am still watching the move in $GLD playout, as the monthly chart has a nice C&H on it. When charts start looking good on the long term time frames, you have to pay attention to them. I’m watching $GDX, $WPM, $RGLD, $NEM, $AEM, and hold some $GOLD. Also watching for re-entries on $SMH Stocks like $ON $ALGM. I see a nice base on $TSM. $NVDA is still in trend. $AMD is back to the 8EMA. I’ve also been mentioning Defense stocks like $LMT and $AXON which have started coming out of their bases. I didn't much care about that as long as gold was rising but i now know that $AEM is a better company for 3 reasons 1. p/e for $NEM is 40.69--whereas p/e for $AEM is 36.28 2. more important for a long term is that profit margin for $NEM is that 1.50 whereas $AEM has a profit margin 10.71 3.MOST IMPORTANT FOR ME IS THAT the last 3 earnings were misses for $NEM whereas $AEM beat all 3. i am truly sorry. 4. i want to have a long time position in gold

- maracom: Hello all and happy end of 2022! Been traveling, haven't been trading over the holidays. Heading into 2023, I'm taking a wait-and-see approach. I've been stopped out of everything except $GDX (including $NEM in my #LTA and $WPM and $SLV in my #Trading acct) $XLE ($DVN in my #LTA), and $XME ($AA and $FCX in my #LTA). I've been stopped out of pretty much everything else I tried to trade for the #GrinchRally including $AMAT $ENPH $AAPL which were all losses. I think there's a fair chance that the markets continue downward in January and even though I've been bullish $GDX $XLE $XME, a nasty enough selloff can easily hit them as well, so I'm basically headed into 2023 in half cash with relatively tight stops on everything, and I'll wait for Mr. Market to let me know what the plan is.
