- StockMarketMentor: Select financials are moving higher, along with a few other stocks to watch. While I do not have any open trade ideas in the financial space, here are some stocks that I've been following on commenting on. $GS -- Continuing its run along the upper Bollinger Band. $JPM -- still consolidating below a breakout level of $320 Other Dow Components to consider are: $JNJ on a pullback $AXP breaking $382. Not really buyable here, but it's a strong stock that can be bought on a pullback. $TRV is bouncing off the 50-day moving average on high volume. The drop has been steep, so the bounce may be muted. - BocaRick: $JPM and other big banks pull back, JPM down 3% and dip below 50MA
- cgendro1: @BocaRick $JPM - I don't find any news but $JPM is down the most of all I queried- $GS, $MS, $BAC, $WFC, $C- $JPM falling like a rock! It's now down near 4%. I got out down 8 and it's now down 12.

- cgendro1: @BocaRick $JPM - I just read that firm wide expenses will be 3.6% higher that 2026 estimates. Apparently 9% higher than 2025 est of 96.1 Billion. Now looking at $105 Billion

- champ: $CPA...HOD....nice move and it looks a #Pre-earnings move, they will report earnings on 11/19/after and $JPM took a large position, of 1,602 million shares on 10/24. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'm also holding a position.
- StockMarketMentor: If I see 'em, I'll point 'em out even if I'm not trading them. $IREN -- holding at $69-$70. High volume today and this might go higher. It's in a bit of a squeeze, with earnings are due Thursday. Banking stocks are holding up well: $DJUSBK $GS $MS $JPM $AER just might be moving higher out of a tight few days after reporting strong earnings. - DavidG: $JPM was down 4.5% which is a big move for this stock. They beat on REV and EPS. Dipped 2% under the 50d MA, and when it started to recover, I bought some @ 299. It's rare to see this under the 50d MA and I think this was a good opportunity to pick up this stock. Currently recovered and is above 50d MA.

- joelsg1: $JPM I have a new Grandson, my son's 3rd boy under 3, Bubblegum Cigars all around!, so will be traveling next week to meet him in Chicagoland and then on to NYC, back 10/21. I have a small share pos. in $JPM which reports E before open on 10/14, don't put on option spreads for when I'm gone, but if not I would probably on Monday put on atm bull call spreads for a 1-3 risk-reward spread over E. There is no way $JPM and also $GS which reports same day have not made super-bank with their trading activities during Q3 which I think will surprise.

JPM $50 bil buyback and an 8 or 7% increase in the divy, GS with a 1/3 increase in the dividend! Increases all around for the others.
- champ: $GS...at $705, made a New ATH today, at $714.30, Breakout, zigzagging higher and new entries are Never easy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The new News was, the Feds had a Bank Stress Test on Friday. ....$JPM...and certain names in this sector are working.
