And it's been very good since the beginning of 2023. - RichardinME: @DavidK $CVNA It's pop was probably mostly due to short covering. Hard to believe this was 3 bucks in fall of 22. It has outperformed the best of the momentum stocks and I think most Crypto.

- DavidK: @Wolf $CVNA no way management can accurately forecast earnings with this business model . Crap shoot . Odds are there is some profit taking after this run up . That’s my bet . I always keep a tight leash on these types of trades in case I am wrong . Up 3.2% so far on those puts .

- PTinME: @Ben2020 $CVNA Technically this looks good but I have to wonder if it's a long-term short squeeze? This stock was around 3 bucks less than 2 years ago. I have not followed this stock much recently but how can things have changed so much for a stock that was trading like it was going from 3 to zero just a little while ago? I think it would be a great short if were not for the short float that could drive this to the moon if a quarter of the shares have to be bought? I find this interesting because it was talked so much about by bears on CNBC but now that it has a 130 handle nobody talks about it.

- Lou: I'm trying to figure out the impact on auto related stocks like $CVNA from the horrible collapse of the bridge near Baltimore. Baltimore Harbor is truly disrupted and will remain so for many years. Baltimore is also the entry port and more (storage, finish to US standards, etc.) for foreign cars coming to the Eastern US. Whoever has a big inventory will benefit in the short term. As this is a long term problem, used car prices will stay strong and new car dealers on the east coast will suffer. On the sidelines but thinking.

- Henry: @Lou $CVNA #Coal Are they saying years to clear the entrance to the harbor? Certainly it will be years to replace the bridge. Baltimore is a big coal export facility so that will be affected too.

My thinking was 3 bucks a little over 1 year ago and the only reason it was at these levels was shorts getting shaken out that were too greedy to cover when this was in the single digits. Now I know it does not matter. I just keep hearing Dan saying a stock is worth what the market will pay for it. Even if the traders don't want to pay or are forced to the price action is the same. Good early call on GLD when it was around 188. I missed this one and don't want to chase it.

- PTinME: $CVNA. I just shorted 100 shares at 80. Did not think the order would even get filled. Not trying to pick a top but think that it's run from 3 bucks to 80 is a bit extreme. This is just a very small speculative trade. I think this is nothing more than a short squeeze. Risk is I will cover if it goes to above 90. Reward is I will ride it down to less than 10. Chart looks bullish but this company has a reasonable chance of going to zero.

It's hitting the old multi-top ~$57 area today (see 7/19/23 & 9/14/23), but it's most recent high is $62.59 (12/20/23). Not sure if it will challenge that recent high before coming earnings on 2/22. I'm sitll holding, but I don't currently plan on holding through earnings.
