Bed Bath & Beyond said on Wednesday that it has secured $500 million in new financing, including a loan, as it seeks extra cash and confidence from suppliers ahead of the holiday season. The company also said it is planning layoffs and store closures to cut costs. It announced the new financing in a news release ahead of an investor update early Wednesday. One thought: A great (and costly) example of the lack of sophistication of the typical stock slinger is seen in the recent action of Blood Bath & BeGone ($BBBY). - Roadrunner: @DAN $BBBY Thank you for the video last night a nd your feedback on $BBBY. For anyone new to SMM and trading, please listen to Dan, Scott and Rocky. They have the experience. Reddit has the potential to get folks in over their head and lose a lot of money. I went online last evening to Reddit which I seldom do and found it very sad. When a site gives advice on suicide prevention you know you are in the wrong place. I lost a cousin last year after the GME options escapade. Free advice usually is a clue you are in the wrong place.

- DAN: @Roadrunner $BBBY If you are a very seasoned trader, you can capitalize on these things. I have only made one trade on this kind of crap -- on $GME. I made a decent profit, but it's just too time consuming and distracting for me. Also, I get the distinct feeling that I'm trading with a bunch of drunk lightweights who are all sitting together in their frat house. For most, it's just speed gambling.

- DAN: @DAN $OXY I took a pretty big position to do what I did not do on $SFIX -- capitalize on a move that I understand, and that is working really well, and really fast. I cut that down now and have a more reasonable position that I can live with. I really like this trade, though. Buffett doesn't manipulate stocks like $BBBY or $GME. If he wants to buy a company, he does it. If he doesn't, you won't hear from him.

Disastrous; sales off by a quarter versus last year, loss of $358 mio, CEO out, replaced on an interim basis by the lead independent director. There appears to be "a mismatch between what its stores carry and what shoppers want" (WSJ.com). Yeah, could be the case. The store in my general vicinity closed a while back. I purchased some Riedel wine glasses there several years ago, but we've been careful with them, and I didn't need to return. :-) All the best!
